Taranian saunters out after her dragon, smiling quietly. She waves at Auralia and tilts her head at Ellath, who croons up at the stars as he watches them.Iesath> You lumber out into the Clearing.
Iesath lumbers over from the lakeside meadow.
Auralia, wandering aimlessly, turns, returning Taranian's salute with a mock grin, eyes rolling. "Evening, Taranian. Good; at least someone has arrived. I swear, no one listens to me." She adds, glancing at Iesath, who lumbers directly towards the water, "We'll get started in a few, once more people show up."
Dragon> Southern Weyr sense that Iesath's voice laps like a drowsy sea, her thoughts raising to offer, << Mine waits for people to come, and learn with the weyrlings. It will be, >> she pauses, as if searching for the right word, << fun. >> Maybe.
Taranian nods, grinning brightly at the weyrsecond. "Well, I always do," she assures, giving a curt, and very honest, nod. Ellath warbles at Iesath in greeting.
In the southern sky, Brielth flies over from the Southwestern Weyrs.
"Sweet," says Auralia, rolling her eyes, but amused. "How is Ellath going? Have you had a chance to fly with him yet? I had noticed that there were several from your class gliding about of late." Iesath rumbles softly to Ellath, motherly in her motions to watch him, curious.
In the southern sky, Brielth soars to the white sandy beach below.
Brielth flies over from the open sky above.
L'mir swings his leg over Brielth's neck then slides down the bronze's side, pausing to give him an affectionate pat.
Taranian turns at the sound of another dragon arriving and grins at L'mir, waving. Then she smiles at Auralia again. "Oh, he's good. Happier now that he's allowed to watch the stars, tonight." She smiles at her lifemate. "No, not yet," she says a bit whistfully. "But soon." Ellath turns his attentions back towards the stars, but he does whuffle with friendliness at Iesath.
Iesath rumbles towards Brielth, turning her head back to the young blue, and then following his gaze towards the stars. For her, however, the moons are the object of fascination, and these she watches, as the lake shallows lap about her feet. "L'mir! Evening, there. Come, join us. We're just waiting a few minutes, before getting started."
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Araneth bugles her arrival. <<We come!!>>
In the southern sky, Araneth flies toward the white sandy beach below.
Araneth flies over from the open sky above.
From between Araneth's neckridges, Aithne is laughing as she nearly tumbles off her lifemate, only by fortune landing on her feet. "Silly" She accuses her lifemate before waving to the others.
L'mir raises a gloved hand in greeting, giving Brielth a pat before wandering over closer to the group. "A few minutes? Good timing, hmm? Well, look who's here? Aithne!"
Aithne slips down from Araneth's back.
Araneth warbles in excitment, followed by a cheerful croon. "I have -no- idea what has gotten into her today." Aithne notes in amusement as she wanders over to the others.
In the southern sky, Lisanth soars to the white sandy beach below.
Lisanth flies over from the open sky above.
"Aithne!" Auralia echoes L'mir, chuckling softly, and bobbing her head in greeting of the goldrider. A group of weyrlings earn sharp nods from the Acting Weyrleader as they trundle in, their lifemates joining them along the beach. Reluctantly, Iesath removes herself from the water, padding up onto the beach with sand-covered limbs. "Oh? She's being weird? Maybe some excerise will do her good."
Lisanth settles down out of the way with minimal stirring of sand. Her rider quickly releases the riding straps and slithers off the green.
Niare swings her leg over Lisanth's neck and slides to the ground.
L'mir smiles toward Niare, raising a hand in greeting. "Evening, Niare, come to cause some trouble too?" His sable eyes twinkle, as he teases the group.
Aithne grins as she spots Niare., "Hello!" She calls out before she turns her attention to the dragons.
Taranian waves up at all of the dragons and riders as they arrive, grinning. "Heya, all!" she calls to them, leaning against her star-gazing blue.
Niare grins at L'mir, "Oh, I don't know about causing trouble. Lisanth and I have caused enough the last day or so." She waves towards Aithne and greets her, too, "Hey, Aithne."
Iesath warbles whiningly, shuffling her limbs. Now that's she's out of the water, can they get on with it? Auralia chuckles, offering, "I s'pose we can get started. It won't be anything overly strenuous." She adds, towards Niare, "Nah, that wasn't trouble. It was natural." There's a difference, see. "Spread your dragons out, if they can, and we can watch from afar. So much easier."
L'mir is oblivious to what the trouble is, so.. he asks. "What sort of trouble? And what was natural about it?"
Aithne chuckles. "I did hear something about that, not sure if I would classify it as trouble, however." Araneth pads from the others, making sure there plenty of space between her and the dragon beside her.
As Lisanth moves off to spread out with the other dragons, Niare replies to L'mir, "Oh, she rose, and V'tali tells me that T'rrin was ready to carry me off with him beforehand."
L'mir laughs, sending Brielth off with the others. "Ahh! Who won the flight?"
"How exciting life is for a greenrider. T'las wasn't it?" says Auralia with a roll of her eyes. "Shards, Iesa's due within a sevenday or so. That'll be bad news for you, L'mir, for a couple of days." Amused at this, she glances towards Iesath, who raises her wings up, outstretched towards the skies. "We'll start like that."
Ellath turns about, making sure he won't bump into anyone, and spreads his wings, raising them upwards like Iesath. Tara smiles, watching her lifemate proudly.
Niare nods as Auralia supplies the answer, "Yeah, Nymath caught her." She gives Auralia a somewhat sympathetic glance for the impending Flight. Lisanth, watches Iesath, then copies the movement.
L'mir gives Brielth the signal to do the same, then blinks at Auralia before laughing. "Bad news? Oh dear! You think she'll be flirting with Brielth, or are you talking about yourself?" He winks then grins.
"That should be interesting." Aithne observes before commenting to L'mir. "Maybe K'tor will be back before hand."
"Oh, both. And the fact that I'll be out of action for a couple of days," says Auralia, a soft chuckle following the statement. "Yes, I suppose we can all hope that Kat's back by then." Auralia especially, eyebrows furrowing, glancing down to the ground. Iesath glances about, preening gracefully as she moves her wingsails gently, back and forth.
L'mir's expression changes slightly, quickly, when he nods at the mention of K'tor, then it's gone. "Ah, I see. The Acting WeyrSecond turns to Acting Weyrleader while the Acting Weyrleader turns to proddy. That should be... fun?" He does laugh goodnaturedly, then turns to watch Brielth gawking at Iesath. He laughs some more, shaking his head.
Araneth stretches out her wings slowly, then very gracefully begins to move them up and then down, up then down. No, she isn't watching to see who may notice. Aithne peers towards her lifemate and laughs, "show off" She accuses before nodding to L'mir. "It shall be interesting."
Ellath follows Iesath's movements, tilting his head silently as he watches the green with intent curiosity.
Auralia chortles, offering, "All we need then would be for you to fall off a cliff, and we'd have to appoint another Acting Weyrleader from the masses. How many people do you think we can get through before Kat comes back?" And he -will- come back. If Aura has anything to do with it. Iesath warbles blithely, folding her wings, then unfolding them again, neatly, tidily, and with a motherly croon.
Lisanth cocks her head to watch Iesath, following the movements a moment behind. Niare listens, her eyes trained on the dragons' exercising.
Belith ambles across from the lakeside meadow.
Sienna strides over from the lakeside meadow.
Brielth isn't interested in motherly croons, but he /is/ interested in Iesath. Hiw wings pump the air, lifting him slightly off the ground. Showoff.
Sienna wanders in, Belith at her side as always as she looks around.
If Auralia notices Sienna and Belith's late entrance, she makes no comment of it, still conversing with those around her. Iesath flutters her wings at Brielth, stretching out her tail in coy amusement. Is that part of the drill, or just Iesath? Good question. Warble, nicely, and then back to her previous stance.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Belith wonders curiously, << what is happening? Why are you all flapping your wings? >>
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Ellath whuffles amusedly at Belith. << We are exercising out wings, Belith. To strengthen them for flight. >>
Sienna makes her way to Taranian's side, and offers a smile. "Wing exercises?" She asks, glancing at her green's wings.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Iesath makes careful note, while still retaining her sensuous voice, << You are late. Copy what I do, Belith. Exactly what I do. >>
Lisanth notices where Brielth is looking and showing off, and she snorts softly, looking away after a moment. She continues copying the older green's motions and adds a little flair of her own, just a bit of flourish, though at the same time she appears to be ignoring the bronze.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Belith blinks. << I am sorry I am late. And I will copy you,>> she states, geting the note of caution.
Belith turns her green-whirling eyes to the flapping dragons and Weyrlings, and cocks her head towards Iesath with intrest.
Taranian smiles, waving at Sienna as she comes in. "Yep," she answers, and goes back to watching her blue.
Brielth takes to making little hopping steps while he flaps his wings. He's not graceful, but there is a harmony to what he's doing. *flap* *flap* then that pointed tail snakes out, heading for Iesath's foreleg. It seems a little far away but.. perhaps.
Iesath pulls her neck out long, stretching out her lithe form in brilliance under the moon, and flutters her wingsails again. It looks far more a coy pose than one of exercise, but Auralia, so wrapped up is she in conversing, hasn't seemed to notice. Yet. Brielth's tail isn't noticed, but it's certainly close enough to touch, if it's extra stretching and long, and she doesn't move away.
Belith watches Iesath carefully, then goes about copying the pose. Wings fluttering, neck stretched out as she checks to see if she's doing this properly.
L'mir walks closer to Auralia, still shaking his head as he watches his bronze's antics. "Please excuse him. He's been feeling rather frisky lately, and I'm not sure why." His gaze slides to Belith, a warm smile forming. "Good, very good." he calls to the young dragon. "Ignore that bronze lump over there though." He points to Brielth, then snickers.
Belith whuffles a little and turns her head away from the bronze. Don't worry, she's not paying attention to /him./
Ellath watches as Belith gets praise for her work, and copies Iesath exactly, eyes whirling proudly. Taranian just laughs.
Auralia's head raises, and she bursts into giggles at Iesath, and then at Brielth. "Frisky? Has he been missing out on the greens? But no, he had Jeuneth, didn't he? Bronzes. Who'd have 'em." She's amused at this, and adds, "I hope he settles down." Iesath arches her neck and back, swiftly darting her wings about in gentle movements. "Ooh, but this is amusing."
Dragon> Iesath senses that Belith seems a little pleased. << Like this? >>
Niare rolls her eyes at Lisanth and mutters, "She should be over that by now." Of course, the green is never over that, but that is either lost upon or ignored by Niare.
Kellah walks over from the lakeside meadow.
Sienna simply watches her green with a chuckle, then smiles broadly as Niare's voice is heard. "Hey, Niare," she calls in way of greeting.
Iesath> Belith senses that Iesath's mind arches, and her voice radiates sultry moonlight, << Oh, indeed, you learn quickly little one. On day, you will use these skills well. >>
Belith fans her wings in elegant movements, like Iesath, and arches her neck as gracefully as possible, her movements fluid.
Dragon> Iesath senses that Belith sends thoughts with colours that radiate with pride. << I am glad I am doing the lesson well! >> She says with dragonet exuberance.
Iesath> Belith senses that Iesath offers waves of motherly pride, doting upon the younger green, << So I am, little one. >>
Aithne sighs as she pads back onto the sands, muttering softly beneath her breath. She stops short and peers at Araneth, who has stopped her exercise. "Oh." She offers after a few moments then just shrugs to her lifemate. "If that is what you want," She remarks to the gold before meandering over to the others. "Quite nice." She observes, paying close attention to the weyrlings.
Brielth darts his chiseled, red-tinged head about, adding a slight hop now and again to punctuate his movements. There goes that tail, right toward Iesath's foreleg, curling around it. A few shuffles take the bronze closer to Aura's lifemate.
Ellath warbles happily, copying Iesath, then stops, tilting his head at Brielth, curiously. Here we go with the questions.. Taranian sighs, rolling her eyes at the bronze.
Kellah walks onto the beach, staying back a bit so whats not in the way.
Belith can't help but eye Brielth's antics out of the corner of her faceted eye. But with a toss of her head, she's back to being poetry in motion.
Iesath emits a warble of surprise that turns seamlessly into a croon of delight, her head turning to allow a nuzzle in Brielth's direction. Auralia giggles again, covering her face with her hands. "The weyrlingmasters will kill me; if these two project any flirtish feelings." Eyes turn towards Aithne: "Nice? Yes, well."
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Ellath watches Brielth, eyes swirling with a curious shade. << Why does he do this? Does he believe that she is his? >>
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Lisanth snorts and replies derisively, << He does that because he is bronze. >>
"I was referring to the weyrlings." Aithne notes in amusement.
Niare spots Sienna and waves, "Hi, Sienna. Your Belith joining the exercises?" She asks this just as she spots the green and nods, "Oh, I see her."
Auralia's tone is wry. "So was I."
Dragon> Breidith bespoke Southern Weyr with << What does Brielth do now? >>
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Araneth rumbles in amusement, a sulky note to her tone. <<He is hoping to get a head start for the next time she flies>>.
Taranian giggles, listening to a silent comment from her blue.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Iesath's mind is soft and fuzzy. << He is very warm, and handsome. >>
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Breidith rumbles with amusement and curls back ip into her spot.
Sienna smiles at Niare and then looks over her shoulder at her lifemate. "Yes, she's having fun copying Iesath as best she can," she says. Then, back to Niare, "how is Lisanth?"
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Ellath is enlightened. << I see. Thank you, Araneth. And this works, I believe? >> he wonders, still sounding just as innocent as usual.
L'mir attempts a stern voice. "Brielth..?" he cautions, "You are such a /lump/! This is /serious/, you know?" His words seem to fall on deaf, well, ears? as the bronze continues his comical antics.
Belith looks at Brielth and then seems to snort, continuing her exercises.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Belith seems to wonder, << aren't you supposed to be teaching us instead of playing, Brielth?"
Niare nods towards Brielth, "Lisanth is in a mood, now. Of course, she'd probably be in a mood even if some dragon were paying attention to her, so that's nothing new. How is Belith?"
Sienna chuckles a little, then answers. "Belith is great, thank you for asking," she says, her face full of Weyrling joy at the mention of her companion.
"I don't believe they like to listen very much," says Auralia, who is glaring at Iesath, although it's hard to do so when her lips are twitching to hold back laughter. "They're rather cute, really, when one thinks about it." Iesath, while still 'captured', manages to stretch out her wings again. Preen.
Kellah watches quietly. Smiling slightly.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Araneth offers her input, her tone droll. <<Watch him carefully little ones, he has much to teach you.>>
Aithne is trying not to laugh, maybe if she holds her hand over her mouth.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Brielth's mindvoice is speckled with deep golds and greens, deep and smoothe. << Iesath is very nice. That is the only reason. >> His presence fades, then returns. << My lifemate tells me I must stop or he will tell stories about me. >>
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Iesath can't help but preen under that praise, her own voice radiating in moonlit greenery, and speckled warmth. << Brielth is wonderful, too. He is good, and should be worked with. >> She snorts, adding, << Stories? They won't be true. What does it matter! >>
Niare nods, "How is weyrlinghood treating you? They're just starting to fly, right?"
Sienna says in a conversational tone, "Weyrling hood is actually not what I expected it to be. Just being with Belith was nothing compared to the stories," her tone turns a little more exited. "So I guess it's just a little suprising, but we're doing fine." She pauses to take a breath. "Hmmm...yes, they tried their first flight a little while ago. Belith didn't quite get airborne," she says with a hint of regret. "But I'm sure she'll do it next time...." she looks at her green.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Breidith wonders in her usually sunshiney fashion, << Stories.. what stories...? >>
L'mir places his palm against the side of his face, closing his eyes as if hoping that will block out the bronze's motions. "You'd think he'd listen, you know. I have one /obstinate/ dragon to put up with, you see." A sable eye opens slowly, hesitating as if not wanting to see what Brielth will do next. "Aura, I'm so sorry!"
Taranian sits down, watching her blue with a smile. She chuckles at Sienna. "Ellath didn't get up, either, Enna. Don't worry about it. Just need some practice, is all."
Aithne snickers softly. "Don't be sorry, L'mir. Its probably time that they started to learn what to expect."
Auralia's head turns, blond locks shaking rapidly, "Shards, no, L'mir. It's not a problem. It's cute quite, and I suppose there's got to be some muscular developing value in it, surely?" Her eyes turn back to the two dragons, Iesath, who has proceeded to move in closer to Brielth, lower her wings completely. So, maybe not value at all.
Niare nods quickly, "Oh, I'm sure she will. These exercises will really help."
Belith watches as Iesath moves towards Brielth, and looks about for a dragon to advance upon, still intent on copying. She spots Ellath, and leans upon him, neck craned back to make sure she's doing it like Iesath.
Sienna smiles, and then suddenly smacks a palm to her face as Belith leans on Ellath.
Brielth's wings don't lower, in fact they raise more to provide a type of canopy over Iesath. He croons softly, large bronze head hovering over Aura's lifemate's neck. That tail hasn't moved, not likely it will for a while either.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Lisanth snaps towards Brielth, << Now see what you've started? No one but me is working anymore. >>
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Belith says hastily, << I am working, Lisanth! See? I am copying Iesath, like she said I should! >>
Taranian bursts out laughing as she watches her lifemate and Sienna's. Ellath warbles at the green, eyes whirling amusedly. He keeps watching Iesath, however, though it appears that this is inevitable.
Lisanth continues to do exercises, ignoring Iesath since the green has apparently abandoned the lesson. She increases the speed of her movements, as well, since she's not leading weyrling dragons.
Dragon> Iesath bespoke Southern Weyrling Wing with << Hush up, Lisanth, >> with a regal snort, reclining into (her) Brielth with some radiation of general warmth and satisfaction. << She is doing well. >>
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Araneth croons quite proudly, <<Very nicely done, Belith>>
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Belith is full of pride at the compliments from the older dragons. << Thank you. >>
L'mir's eyes mist, his lips twitching as he speaks to his dragon. It seems as if he may be arguing by the expression on his face. The bronze doesn't seem to be budging though, not one inch.
Iesath crooons loudly, delighting in this attention. Never let it be said that a lady can't be won by open praise and devotion, even when she isn't proddy. Or not quite. Auralia's glancing about catches Ellath and Belith, and she chortles, head shaking, "Oh, that's too much. Oh dear."
Lisanth snorts abruptly and turns her practice wingbeats into action, taking off with a swirl of sand.
Dragon> Lisanth bespoke Southern Weyrling Wing with << You have no focus, Iesath. >>
Lisanth soars to the open sky above.
Lisanth has left.
Aithne rolls her eyes. "Araneth, Knock it off." She orders, "I am so sorry." She apologizes to the others. "I have no idea what she is on about." Well, not that she'll admit anyway.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Brielth's thought threads swirl about with images of warm wallows and fat herdbeasts. << When one is so lovely, she is deserving of attention. This is work too, just a different kind. >>
Taranian continues to snicker, listening to all of the comments from her dragon and the relayed ones of the others. "This is positively hilarious."
Niare sniffs, not looking entirely amused by the complete breakdown of the lesson - perhaps her lifemate is rubbing off on her, or vice versa. She watches Lisanth leave and nods slightly, her eyes tracking the green form until it disappears.
Sienna sighs as Belith leans against her clutch-brother Ellath. "Do you know exactly what you're doing, hon?" Her eyes go distant for a moment, and she sighs. "No, this isn't proper Weyrling exercises. This is you coppying Iesath being flirty!"
Dragon> Breidith bespoke Southern Weyrling Wing with << Brielth I think you are being distracting.. >>
Dragon> Iesath bespoke Southern Weyrling Wing with << I do, too! I'm very focused. On Brielth. >>
Belith merely blinks at her lifemate, and leans in more. See? She's doing the lesson well. Goood dragon. She nudges Ellath just for good measure, then looks at the older dragons, expectant.
Marila strides over from the lakeside meadow.
Breidith ambles across from the lakeside meadow.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Ellath just whuffles happily, then gives Belith a look of amusement. << Why do you copy this? >>
Marila walks along with Breidith as she grins the grouping looking over them idly.
L'mir continues 'speaking' to Brielth, dark eyes clouded over as he tries talking sense into that errant bronze. Faster and faster his lips move, occasionally pausing, but it seems to have no impact on Brielth.
Iesath doesn't seem to be in much of a need to -move- right now, all curled up with a bronze stud, so she just warbles towards the younger dragons, distracted in no little way. Evidently, they're doing fine. Auralia's not concerned in the slightest.
Dragon> Breidith bespoke Southern Weyrling Wing with << Ellath.. Belith... your riders need to go and present your straps to Marila. We have to see if they are up to standard this time. >>
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Belith seems about to answer Ellath, when she pauses. << Yes, Breidith, >> she says, then relays the message.
Aithne just shakes her head as she makes her way over to Araneth's side. The dragon lowers her head so that Aithne may reach up to scritch her eyeridges. "Silly." She says gently, her voice lowering into a quiet murmer.
Sienna suddenly looks distant, then looks towards Marila with a nod before hurrying off.
Ellath pulls away from Belith, and begins to wander his way towards the meadow. Taranian snickers, following him.
Niare dusts her hands together and shakes her head, frowning at Brielth and Iesath. She turns to Sienna and says, "Excuse me," before walking quickly away.
Niare walks toward the lakeside meadow.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Iesath, somewhat poutily, projects, << But they're busy, Breidith. They're -learning- from me. >>
Belith moves towards the lakeside meadow.
Ellath moves towards the lakeside meadow.
Taranian strides over to the lakeside meadow.
Sienna strides over to the lakeside meadow.
Dragon> Lisanth bespoke Southern Weyrling Wing with << Learning how to be silly greens who have nothing better to do than snuggle up to males with poor taste. >>
Dragon> Ellath bespoke Southern Weyrling Wing with << Perhaps we can have this lesson later? >>
Dragon> Breidith bespoke Southern Weyrling Wing with << Yes but they and their riders might finally get to have a chance to fly together. >>
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Belith seems astonished. << Lisanth, /that/ was what I was learning? >>
Dragon> Iesath bespoke Southern Weyrling Wing with << You tell lies, dear Lisanth, >> she insists, voice bright. << Another time, then, little ones. >>
Dragon> Brielth bespoke Southern Weyrling Wing with << Who has poor taste? >>
Dragon> Lisanth bespoke Southern Weyrling Wing with << Yes, that is what Iesath has been *demonstrating* since she stopped *beating wings* >>
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Belith is confused. << Iesath, why would you want me to learn /that?/ Males are not interesting. Unless they're talking about something /interesting/ but then.....why? >> She asks.
Belith ambles across from the lakeside meadow.
Sienna walks over from the lakeside meadow.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Iesath's dappled mindvoice insists the opposite, << I was not teaching you that, little one. I was teaching you how to move, and how to react, and how to be pretty. As well as strengthen your muscles. >>
Sienna hurries back, looking as if she has been running. Sand spraying, she hurries over to Marila, staps in hand.
Leonette walks over from the lakeside meadow.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Ellath seems to stay amused. << Females are interesting when they have good conversations. >>
Mesanth lumbers over from the lakeside meadow.
Dragon> Breidith bespoke Southern Weyrling Wing with << Ceruth's and Arenath's clutch is pretty enough. >>
Ellath lumbers over from the lakeside meadow.
Taranian walks over from the lakeside meadow.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Belith says smartly, << one does not need to learn how to be pretty, >> her deep voice and her words seem to carry the sentance beyond her short life would allow for such wisdom.
Taranian wanders back over, clutching her riding straps. It looks quite awkward, the small teen carrying the amount of straps needed.
Marila folds her arms against her chest as she glance at the weyrlings. Her hand goes to takke Sienna's straps. "Eager tonight.."
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Araneth points out, <<But you are not moving, Iesath. Unless you are teaching them how to hold still?>> She asks innocently before adding a pleased croon to Breidith's observation.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Ellath agrees with Belith. << Greens and golds are already pretty, >> he says, rather flirtaciously for one so young.
Sienna smiles and presents the straps to Marila. "I know I made them better this time," she says. "There's no crooked straps in this set," she announces.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Iesath snorts, radiating pleasure, and satisfaction, and ignoring the comments against her. Who needs to argue, when one knows that they are right?
Brielth's tail untwines from around Iesath's leg, then whips back and forth along the sand, digging into it. It's not long before he has a kind of wallow dug, which he lowers himself into then croons to Ieasth invitingly.
Taranian walks over to Marila, presenting her straps alongside Sienna.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Belith sighs a little. << Ellath, my lifemate says you are 'sucking up'. >>
Marila nods curtly to Sienna , "Put them on the your dragon.." and glances to Taranian, taking the straps from the girl pulling and tugging on them. Her eyes go to Leonette, "Are you too tired to tonight.. or do you want to go and get your straps."
L'mir holds both hands up in the air, rolling his eyes. "I tried. I really did." he says in exasperation, brown eyes coming back to reality. "I do believe for some reason, Iesath's gotten to him.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Ellath croons curiously. << 'Sucking up'? Why must one suck up when one speaks the truth? >> He speaks with genuine sincerity.
Iesath turns her head, regarding this new occupation with a cock of her rather lovely, layered green head. With a consenting warble, she follows the bronze into the wallow, resting herself against the bronze. "Silly dragons," snorts Auralia, "But very cute. They -do- like nice together." She turns her head, watching the weyrlings, with a chuckle. "Why would she get to him? That's quite odd, I agree."
Kellah sits down on the sands watching.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Belith would shrug if she could. << Do not ask me. My Weyrling simply says so....but thank you, if that was a compliment, >> she says.
Leonette pauses a moment as she enters and Marila talks to her. She blinks a bit. Apparently, she's not to tired, cause she turns quickly with nothing more than a 'be right back' over her shoulder. And indeed, she does return quickly, hauling the riding straps. Straps are fussed over a little, and she steps up to Marila. "Here we are." Ready and eager.
Sienna nods smartly to Marila, and turns to her lifemate, attatching them as apropriate.
Taranian awaits Marila's opinion on her straps, patiently, but does look quite eager to do some flying.
L'mir does look Brielth and Iesath's way, sighing deeply. "They are quite a pair, yes." he agrees, "But it's not good of him to not listen to me. I swear, the older he gets, the worse it gets."
Aithne nods slightly to Araneth. "Alright." She murmers softly before she checks the dragon's straps out of habit, more than anything. She calls over her should before she begins to mount. "If you all will excuse us?"
Aithne climbs up Araneth's foreleg using her straps to make her way up to her neckridges.
Marila passes Taranaian's straps back. Her eyes go to Leonette.."I hope nothing's happened since last night.." Her hands take the straps, "Taranian go ahead and put the straps on."
Kellah waves to Aithne. "Bye Aithne!"
Auralia raises a hand towards Aithne, "See you later," emerging from her lips, attention turning back to the spectacles nearby. "He probably thinks that he's still gaining in intelligence, and you've stagnated," she teases, holding back a laugh. "But no, it isn't good for him not to listen."
Araneth flies toward the open sky above.
Sienna seems to be muttering advice to herself and/or her green as she puts the simple-looking, yet well-made straps on her dragonet.
Leonette shakes her head, "No..." she peers at the straps again, "Well, not that I know of.." And she would know, since she's so fussy about 'em.
"It only seems to be in matters of golds, greens and gossip, Aura. Other than that, he's fantastic. I must admit I do get tired of the arguing, but times like this soothe my temper." L'mir does shake his head, but a grin finds its way to his lips.
Taranian nods, beaming at Marila. She walks over to her blue, throwing the straps over his head and then tightening them, carefully. "This is it, Ellath.." she mutters to him, brows raised in anticipation.

Auralia nods her head slowly, understanding. "I know what you mean, true. But--" she laughs, head shaking. "Still."
Marila tugs on them again, "Okay strap up and then meet me at the landing field, all of you.. we'll do a quick lesson then you'll each get to go up.." With that the young woman turns away to go and make her way to the field.
Dragon> Southern Weyrling Wing sense that Ellath whuffles at Belith. << You mustn't get too caught up, Belith. You must stay focused, after all. >>
Nafai strides over from the lakeside meadow.

Sienna smiles down at her green, who adops an important pose before marching off the beach with her Weyrling alongside her.

Taranian finishes checking Ellath's straps, making sure they are all fastened and tightened carefully. She smiles, patting her blue on the side. "Let's do this, love," she says to him, and the pair walk over to the lakeside meadow.

Nafai watches all the dragons and their riders walking away, his little firelizard chirping from her sholder perch.

Auralia murmurs to those closest to her: "I'd better go and get some work done, if this session has fallen apart. Thanks for showing up, anyway." She glances at Iesath, who ignores her, and shrugs, striding away.
