Auralia sits, legs crossed, on top of one of the tables. It's early yet; still quiet. She's reading, although not overly...enthusiastic looking about it.
Leonette walks. Or rather trudges. Early. Yes. Tired. Klah. Oo! Now that she has her morning klah, she can look around, and speak coherently... "G'mornin'," she says to Auralia.
"Morning?" That's Aura, sounding bleary. Really, really bleary. After a frown, a pause, and a half-smile, she manages, "Oh, hi Leo." No, she wasn't reading. Couldn't have been. Dozing, more like it. "Congrats, by the way."
Leonette blinks, and tilts her head, "Um...okay...Thanks.." she says. Great going. Now you've confused her...
Auralia nods, cheerfuly. Face beaming, and all. "I knew you would, and all. It's obvious. I'm really happy for you. We all are."
Leonette hmms, and nods again. Still confused. Still tired. Still needing klah. Take a sip. Ahh...much better. "Um? You did?" she asks, curiously. That's funny. How could Auralia know she would do something that she didn't even do...?
Auralia knows everything? Omnipotent, and all that. She uncrosses her legs, stretching them out in front of her. "Sure we did. Why wouldn't we? Excited?"
Leonette shrugs, "Um...yes?" she says, tilting her head a bit. How can she ask when she's supposed to already know...? At least she's not in trouble this time...
Auralia nods, re-crossing her legs with pride. "Oh, good. I know I was. And it's so much fun. You'll be great, I know you will. Don't be too nervous, though, remember. It's only, well, you know."
Leonette nods slowly, "I do?" she asks, eyebrow raised. Nervous? She's not nervous. Especially since she doesn't even know what's going on. (*is this becoming a pattern..?*)
"Well, yes, you do. You sure you're not half asleep, Leo? You look kinda...confused. Drink more klah?" Now Aura's getting a little confused, more than a little, really.
Leonette blinks, and nods, "I suppose I am.." she says softly, then laughs and takes a drink of klah. No. That doesn't help her remember whatever it is that she's apparently forgotten... "I am confused..." she adds.
Auralia's eyes narrow somewhat, and she peers rather curiously towards Leo. "You're not wearing it. Why not?" A nod, a pause, "Yes, I can see that. Now, the question is, why?"
Leonette blinks, and looks down at her clothes. "Not wearing /what/?" she exclaims, more than a little bit confused, and tired of this 'I know, but I don't' game.
"Your knot, of course! The right knot, I mean." Aura's getting slightly impatient, and perhaps more than a little confused herself. Most certainly awake, now.
Leonette tilts her head, and sets her klah cup down on the table. Perhaps it's something in the klah. "What do you mean, yes I am!" she says, examining it. "Unless someone's switched me without telling me..." sigh.
Auralia shakes her head, blond hair flopping about her face. "No,no,no. Your -new- knot." Is that a hint of worry on her face? Has she done something stupid?
Leonette frowns, and throws her hands up, "Auralia? Are you proddy or something?" she asks. Ah-ha! That must be it!
Auralia's face takes on quiet a peculiar look, but her head shakes. "No -- it's not that time of the turn." Every three months, on the dot, see.
Leonette hmms, and sighs, "Then what..?" she asks, eyebrow raised. "You really are acting peculiar today." Ooh. Big word, Leo...
Auralia's head shakes once. "So you seriously have no clue as to what I'm talking about?" She's gone stiff, somewhat anxious.
Leonette shakes her head, blinking like an owl, "No. I seriously have no clue what you're talking about." She says, frowning softly.
"Shards." Add a couple more potent curses, and you've got Aura. "Um -- catch!" Out of her pocket comes a knot -- a candidates knot, at that -- tossed towards Leo. "Um, I guess I stuffed that up, huh? Can I take back all previous notes of congratulations, and offer them now?"
Leonette eeps and hands jumps up to catch knot. Blinkblink. "Um..." slowly, it dawns on her. Yep. So that's what was going on. "Ooh! Wow!" Now comes the grins and all that that were missing before.
Auralia laughs, moving to her feet, "There you go. Much better. I was wondering what was wrong, but I coulda sworn that someone said they'd nabbed you already."
Leonette chuckle sand shakes her head, "No. Not 'till just now," she says with a little laugh. After pinning on knot, she looks over at the serving table. Sweetrolls! Ooh! "Want one?" she asks, still grinning, as she grabs one for herself.
Auralia shakes her head, rubbing at her eyes. "No, I don't think so. You need help moving your stuff in, or can I go?" Bringer of bad news, and all.
Gaethan walks over from the Western Courtyard.
Gaethan walks in, a stack of papers under his arm, rubbing the sleep-dust from his eyes, more than a little groggy. He walks like an automoton to the drinks table and gets a mug of klah, almost missing the cup as he pours. He sits down and starts sipping, putting the papers down next to him carefully.
Leonette shrugs, "I can handle it, I suppose," she says, with a little laugh. "You look tired.." Absent-minded wave goes to Gaethan.
Auralia dips her head in greeting towards Gaethen, nods towards Leonette, and heads for the door. "Am. Early sweeps. Bed time." And with that, she's gone. Free.
You walk toward the Courtyard.
