Log file from Auralia. 23/01/00 2:44:42 PM You walk toward the bustling Weyrhall. Auralia half-trips on a table left too near the door, straighens herself, and then giggles, striding towards the serving table. "'lo, folks." A'dan reclines near the hearth, feet propped unceremoniously on a chair turned backwards before him. Head turns, a small grin focused on Auralia. "Walk much, Auri?" he asks of her, teasingly. "Nope," replies Auralia with a laugh, scooting across to A'dan with a mug of juice. "Not if I can help it." A'dan nods approvingly, adjusting himself to a more comfortable position by dropping one foot to the floor. A highly-provocative position - but then, he is A'dan. "We greenriders never do," he agrees, tilting his head. "How've you and Iesath been?" Auralia regards A'dan's position for a long moment, and then hops up onto the table, swinging her legs over the edge, ignoring the provocativit for the moment. "I take it you approve? I'm allowed to stay a greenrider?" She laughs, adding cheerfuly, "We're well, thank you. And you, and Tae?" One good provocation deserves another, though A'dan seems to refrain. Instead, he smiles. "Well, I wouldn't go that far. But you're off to a good start, so I'll extend your probationary period." He lifts his shoulders in a shrug, his smile lighting in pride at the mention of the green. "Oh, we're fine. She's her usually flirty, matchmaking self. You wouldn't believe the string of people she's recommended to me, lately." Auralia looks amused. Just slightly. "Really? You're so kind to me. I don't know what I'd do if they didn't accept me. I think I like it too much, these days." Her eyelashes flutter -- she's good at this acting game, it would seem -- and chuckles, "I can imagine. Men or women, this time?" A pause, "Or has she decided on one or the other?" A'dan shakes his head, a disdainful grin coloring his features. "A mixture of. I think she's pretty equal on both sides, though; she especially likes the blueriders, though. They've won all but one of her flights, I think. I've really lost track." Auralia shakes her head, setting down her mug with a customary, completely uncareful movement that sends droplets over the table. "Blueriders, huh? Interesting. Any that catch your eye, then?" She nods rapidly, with an almost sigh, "S've I. Iesath's fairly big, so she's had a bronze or two win. Mostly blues, I think, other than those." A'dan lifts his right hand, lightly rubbing a small dusting of stubble accumulating on his chin. He seems rather proud of it. "No, not really. I mean, they're fun and all, to pass time or such, but I don't think I've really found anyone Tae would be happy with. She likes the riders, but not for long. It's so nerver-wracking, really." A'dan says, "Gosh, it feels so good to actually be RP'ing again. I'm doing better than I expected, after such a lack-of." Auralia regards the stubble, and covers a laugh with her hand. She didn't do that, honestly. "To pass the time? Ah, I see. And Tae must be happy, more than you, then? Don't let her tell Iesath that. Not that I've found anyone myself." Kinoa strides over from the Western Courtyard. Kinoa has arrived. A'dan frowns lightly, shrugging the incident off. "Well. Yes, Tae is my first priority. Though it would be kind of neat to hear little kiddy feet running around the Weyr." Lost in a daydream for a moment, he drifts off the subject to lift a hand to the arriving Wingleader. "Evening, Kinoa!" he greets her, still rather red in the face from Auri's laughing. Kinoa can't still be proddy but she's still acting a little weird, squinting and occasionally rubbing at her temples with her fingertips. "Hey, A'dan, Aura," she says quietly. "Did you get a sunburn? Auralia wasn't laughing. No, no, no. Of course not. She was...coughing. "Sunburn? Aw, poor A'dan. That's no fun." She waggles a hand at Kinoa, "Welcome back to the sane, Kin. How was F'loran? For that matter, how is Josy taking it?" She turns back to answer A'dan, thoughtfuly, "Maybe. I suppose. Kiddy feet? Plenty of time for that, yet." Joslyn's trying to upload the logs from last night, btw. A'dan does cough, whether or no Auri was. "No, I didn't get sunburnt," he murmurs ruefully, head down for a moment. At Auralia's comment, he lifts it again, pausing to cast a speculative glance at her. "Maybe you do have it takes to be a greenrider, if you're always that forward." Kinoa doesn't answer Auralia immediately, she's too busy frowning into each of the klah pots. Finally, she gets half a mug and dilutes it the rest of the way with milk. "F'loran is fine, I suppose." No mention of the weyrwoman. "How are you both?" If Auralia looks slightly disapointed at the response, it's no more than very slightly. "Is well, thank you. And yourself? Glad to hear that, A'dan," she says, as she swings her legs s'more, "Good. Am I in, then?" A'dan will only grin to Auralia, instead turning in Kin's direction to answer, "I'm fine. I was just telling Auri of Tae's latest attempts on getting me 'mated. She's really come up with some doozies of candidates." Kinoa lifts her eyebrows curiously as she settles into her seat. "Oh?" she asks. "Like who?" A tired smile for Auralia. "I'm sort of wiped out. But still kicking." Auralia ahs, nodding, "I can imagine, I suppose. Just don't kick me, 'kay?" A'dan gets a bright grin in return. "I say find someone for yourself, and give her something to huff about for a moment or two." A'dan's shoulders lift and drop in a shrug, lips pursing. "Well, no one in particular. Just some riders and crafters and such. Too many to name, actually." Looking over to Auri, he rolls her eyes. "Yeah, right. And I'll never heard the end of it. Noooo thank you." Kinoa's legs are quite still under her seat, course wait'll she gets the klah in her. "I promise," she tells her wingsecond with a smile, then turns back to A'dan. "And all of those were doozies?" she prods, unsatisfied. "Wonderful. I feel safer now." Auralia shrugs at A'dan, "She'll forget. And then you'll be in the free. It'd open the range, too. Gold 'n' greenriders, too." With a tilt of her head, she adds, murmuring, "Didn't know we had -that- many doozies, anyway." A'dan again shrugs, arcing an eyebrow. "No. And why do you care?" he then asks, bringing the leg to be found on the ground to join that atop the chair in front of him. "Besides, I'm sure she'll find someone for me before long. She's actually made some good choices so far, but - believe or not - I haven't wracked up enough nerves to approach any of them." Kinoa ahs, nodding at Auralia. "I don't think we do," she says, of the doozies. "I care because I care," she explains exquisitely to A'dan. "And you brought it up." Auralia crosses her ankles, settling back on the table, "You? Not have the nerve? I don't believe it." With a light chuckle, she continues, "That's right, my wingleader is a smart woman, listen to her." A pause. Wait. "Hang on a moment." She brought it up, didn't she? Ah well. Joslyn is HIGHLY irritated. A'dan shakes his head in protest, closing his fingers in a single fist on his lap. "No, you did. You asked how we were doing. And I told you." To Auri, he merely rolls his eyes. "Smart woman? Uh-huh, she's got you brainwashed, Auri." E'dar says, "Fer why?" Joslyn is trying to upload those logs and it just won't finish. A'dan knows how you feel, Josy. "I've all but given up on webpages for very much the same reason." :p Kinoa slouches down in her chair a little. "If you think I'm smart, then forget about the whole weyrmating thing altogether," she suggests, smiling. "Best advice I could give anyone, greenrider or no." Joslyn can usually get them to work just fine, but since we moved, it just won't work anymore. :p Joslyn got one! A'dan grins. "How many does that leave?" Joslyn says, "Just one..." Joslyn says, "Which is presently stuck at 89%." Auralia ? Brainwashed? "Why? She picked me as her wingsecond, she can't be too bad." Look at that bright smile towards Kinoa. "Sounds like a good idea to me. No need to find that special one or anything. Playing around's more amusing." A'dan looks inquisitive, adjusting himself in his chair to face Kinoa. "Why? Bad experiences, huh? With... err... T'dru, was it? Whatever happened to him? I didn't see him much after we graduated..." Kinoa ohhhh, A'dan. You have no idea what you just stepped into. A'dan does. "It's A'dan's personality to step into these things, you know." Kinoa grins. I know. A'dan says, "That's why he's so loveable. ;)" Alianne gapes at her DLG. A'dan's sort of the James Dean 'Rebel Without a Cause'. ;) Kinoa grins back at Auralia, about to say something probably cheesy about her wing and all her wonderful riders when A'dan's comment catches her completely off-guard. "Who?" she asks, nearly dropping her klah mug right smack on her chest. A'dan repeats, slowly, "T'dru. I think that's his name. I met him once at Island River, before I was Searched. Nice guy. Cute, too. Whatever happened to him?" Auralia was waiting for that cheesy something, with bated breath. Then her face falls, and she slides around again, staring between the two other greenriders. "Warning. Warning. Warning." Kinoa manages to keep her voice even. "He transferred." Joslyn says, "Gapes why?" Alianne found out her name's in Dragon'sDawn.. A'dan blinks slowly, rubbing at his temple. This is, of course, all an act; "Did he? Why? All I remember is his bronze catching that Honshu gold, and then..." Bertha flips her fingers and mutters loyally, "Honshu can't hold a candle to Southern!" A'dan nods. "The goldrider. I knew I recognized your name." Auralia sits back, out of the way, and sips quickly at her juice. "A shame, I suppose. But that was...A fairly long time ago." Alianne didn't know that! Kinoa's jaw tightens and she sets her mug down on the table. She doesn't look violent, rather, oddly calm. "Not to Honshu. Up north." Then the kicker, "I don't know where." She flips a grateful look at Auralia. "Yes. It was." A'dan is just asking for trouble, Kin. Alianne snickers. And here I was all this time, thinking I was being original. ;) Kinoa knows, puddin', and I love it. Kinoa also thoughtyou said 'where'. My bad. A'dan blinks, apparently not understanding. "Huh. I would've thought he would transfer to Honshu, with that gold already there. Up north? Are you sure...?" Auralia doesn't say anything. Nope, nope. Not that she knows or anything. "So. Have -you- been to Honshu recently, A'dan. I think there're some nice young riders there, too. And one of their weyrling classes must be getting close to graduating." A'dan loves the prospect of getting slapped by Kin when she's not even proddy. ;) Kinoa oohs. Was that an invitation? Alianne snickers. A'dan says, "Well, we'll see how things go. ;)" Kinoa nods her head once, curtly. "Yes. Up north. I know it's not Honshu because I've been there since." She blinks into her klah mug and then lets out the breath she's been holding. "It doesn't matter, not anymore. And that gold had nothing to do with it." This last is muttered mostly to herself. A'dan ignores Auri, keeping his focus on Kin. "I think saw T'dru and that goldrider together once. They made a really cute couple." A moment's speculation, and he queries, "Hey, didn't you used to be involved with him?" Auralia pouts, thoughtfuly. And removes herself, trying again. "Wine? Klah? Juice? Anyone?" A'dan says, "Let's just hope this doesn't end like a movie, Kin, where they're fighting and screaming and throwing punches one minute and in bed the next. ;)" Kinoa did that yesterday :) Alianne laughs. F'loran says, "Heya, everyone! :)" Kinoa just sighs, apparently too tired to put up much of a fight right now. "Yes, I did," she says, nodding her head. "But we weren't weyrmates," she points out. Another glance at Auralia and she smiles just a little, aware of what the wingsecond is trying to do. Kinoa says, "F'loran! My love!" F'loran grins. A'dan seems rather disgruntled that Kinoa is not taking the bait, and finally gives up by saying to Auralia, "Juice, if you wouldn't mind." He starts his own pouting session, slumping down into his chair, arms crossed, lips slightly downturned. Kinoa grins at A'dan. Another fight with anyone and I think Kin will self-destruct/ F'loran awwws. "Fol wasn't /that/ bad, was he?" ;) Auralia would clap, since she's being taken notice of, but she doesn't. That'd give her away, and she's already being too obvious. "Juice. Right on." As she returns, she laughs, "Pouting, A'dan? How sweet. Don't you think so, Kinoa?" L'mir says, "Yeah, he was! I testify! :)" Kinoa says, "In bed? No comment." F'loran whaps L'mir. "Quiet, young one." ;) A'dan hrms at L'mir. A'dan says, "Now that is scary, considering L'mir and Fol are brothers." E'dar lifts a brow, "I wanna see when Josy finds out..." F'loran is NOT sleeping with L'mir. Y'all need help. :) Nerian hmmms, and wonders if it's time for Tinneth to pull something. Auralia really is scared now. L'mir says, "Yes you did. At Ista, Fol. Remember? :)" F'loran says, "Bunk beds don't count!" A'dan nods with Auri. "I just don't want to know how you can testify to Fol's worth in bed, L'mir..." ;> Kinoa sits up just a little, shaking her head. "No, I've got this," she says, gesturing with the klah. "Anyway. That's what I mean. Weyrmating. Getting too attached. It's not worth it. Look at Telinda and K'laarn. Or Josy, after Lui's flight." A pause. "Flights. Sex shouldn't be a reason to physically hurt someone." She means, because of sex, afterwards, but she's not thinking straight. A'dan blinks slowly, turning his head, again, to face Josy. "Telinda and K'laarn? What happened with them? I've been sleeping a lot lately." Could he be pregnant? Kinoa raises her eyebrows. "She stabbed him. Did you not hear?" Kinoa rolls her eyes and adds, unconvincingly, "It was an 'accident'." Auralia turns to gape at A'dan, having nodded seriously at Kinoa, although she stumbled slightly over that last bit. "It isn't? I thought that was part of it." Um, yeah. "An accident, of course. Mm-hmm. We all know the way Tel's been about K'laarn recently." A pause, "Oh, I shouldn't have said that, huh?" A'dan is still bewildered, following up the pure and innocent confusion on his face with, "Why? I mean, what happened? And what does it have to do with sex?" Auralia coughs, "If you don't know what the main object of being weyrmated is by now, I think you're a lost cause." Kinoa shrugs. "That's what K'laarn said. And he's my Weyrleader, so of course I believe him." She still doesn't sound convinced, but PR is PR. She looks back at A'dan. "I think he was having an affair with Shasta." Might as well get it ALL out there at once. F'loran says, "Oh yeah. Speaking of 'worth in bed', when do I need to get that flight pose to ya by, A'dan?" A'dan doesn't really mind. "Soon's I get a respectable amount of responses I'll post a winner, so you have time." :> A'dan has been gone toooo long. Kinoa just looks at Auralia. "If they were doing that as part of their normal routine..." she frowns thoughtfully. "Still. They should be more careful. Knives are sharp." She should know. F'loran'll write one up tonight, then. :) A'dan's jaw drops, and he stares straight ahead. "I've been sleeping way too often," he finally concludes, shaking his head slowly. "Well, I think I should just stick to casual sex, then. I don't want to get stabbed or anything." A'dan grins. "Aid is finally starting to turn out like I imagined him when he Impressed." ;) Kenla walks over from the Western Courtyard. Kenla has arrived. Auralia drinks her juice really quickly. "They might have been. It might have been more painful, though. With the knives." Where did that come from? "Do that, A'dan. We none of us want you stabbed." Or do they? Kinoa reaches for her knife and pulls it out of it's sheath. "You're not supposed to stab during sex, really. Sort of slide the edge along the skin," she starts to explain, then abruptly puts the knife away. "But you don't need a weyrmate for that." Kinoa is SO scary! F'loran grins. "Kinoa just needs help." :) Kenla stifles a yawn as she wanders in. Luckily she's only semi-coherent, so she didn't really catch what her mentor just said. Auralia reads that, and hides. Ohdear. Auralia just stops. Stops completely. "Oh." Big breath, "Is that how it's done? Thanks for explaining it to me." A'dan just stares at Kinoa, finally resting his chin in his hands. "Remind me not to ever have sex with you, Kinoa," he states slowly, warily eyeing the knife. Kinoa grins. Oh, she's probably just making it up to scare you all. She does that. Kenla pads -- well, with shoes but she's sort of floppy with her feet -- over to the food table and settles on some milk. Joslyn walks over from the Western Courtyard. Joslyn has arrived. F'loran strides over from the Western Courtyard. F'loran has arrived. A'dan says, "Dummmm da dum dum...." Kinoa has put the knife away somewhere safe, no worries. "Evening, Kenla," she says with a smile, then raises her eyebrows at A'dan. "I don't recall asking you." Tonight, yet. Luckily her back is turned towards the entrance. Kenla smiles back and carries the milk, quite innocently, toward a nearby table and sinks into the seat. Joslyn and F'loran couldn't possibly have come in together. You all must have imagined that. The goldrider just HAPPENS to stroll in round about the same time as the brownrider - purely coincidental - and glances about. And then sees Kinoa and obviously ponders heading back the way she came. Auralia's, however, isn't. She offers raised brows to Joslyn and F'loran, and to Kenla, and mouthes something along the lines of, "She's gone insane!" F'loran strolls on in right after Joslyn, and immediately makes his way toward the refreshments table. Slave as always, the lad calls out to the Goldrider, "Need anything to eat or drink, Josy?" Too late, Joslyn...Fol blew your cover. F'loran hasn't seen Kinoa yet, see. A'dan offers a wave Kenla-wards, glancing to the exit and back to Kin. And back to the exit. A slow smile spreads over his face. "Evening, Joslyn, Fol!" he calls, seated near Auri and Kinoa. Kenla blinks through slightly bleary eyes. Slowly, she /is/ figuring out that this won't be a quiet, late-night glass of milk. Kinoa's ears practically swivel on her head at the mention of the goldrider's name. Did she put that knife away? Oh dear. She turns, ever so nonchalantly, and looks over her shoulder at the doorway. "Evening, F'loran," she says quite deliberately. Joslyn has been caught, and thus just wheels back around with a muted sigh. "Oh, sure," is her response to F'loran, whilst she pointedly ignores Kinoa. "Just whatever," she adds, vague fingers batted at the brownrider. She's not armed at the moment, so that's a good sign. "Evening, A'dan," F'loran calls back to the man. Then he adopts a similar grin as he asks, "Why the sly smile?" Kinoa gets a wave, too, then Fol picks up two mugs of juice and a large stack of cookies, and looks around for a place to sit. Not by Kinoa. Very not by Kinoa. He's not THAT stupid. Kinoa, just as deliberately, turns back around as if to resume her conversation with A'dan and Auralia. A'dan, in intent on getting a rise of Kinoa's emotions, prompts of the Wingleader, "Weren't you just speaking of Joslyn earlier? Or was that F'loran?" Try as he might, he cannot master the innocent look; a tinge of evil must always interfere. Auralia forgot about that conversation. She sits back down, deliberately, although her eyes dart around. Unsurprisingly. "Oh, and evening, too." Yeah, she remembered. Joslyn waves toward Auralia as she settles down for her ritual of coohikes and juice with F'loran. So they must be on speaking terms again. That's nice. Even nicer is when the weyrwoman gets wind of A'dan's comment and leans her elbow on the table, chin in her palm, to eavesdrop obviously on Kinoa's answer. F'loran walks over to wherever Joslyn sits down, and sets the refreshments down before seating himself. That done, and after taking a sip of the aforementioned juice, he turns to watch the proceedings at the other table as well, since his name was also mentioned. Kinoa says "I don't speak of Joslyn," reaching over to pick up her klah mug again. "Because if you don't have anything nice to say, you shouldn't say anything at all." As if the goldrider just weren't there. "F'loran, on the other hand, I just feel sorry for." Kenla and her milk: innocent bystanders. But they may also be witnesses for the prosecution, so they pay attention to Kinoa's words, and react accordingly. Kenla bites her lip. The milk sits. A'dan quiets now, obviously not expecting this reaction. A side-ways glance moves to Josy and Fol, his lower lip being pulled between his teeth. Chew. "Could I have some more juice, Auri?" he asks quietly, though he rises to retrieve his own mere seconds after he asks the question of the Wingsecond. Auralia opens her mouth to say something very pointed -- probably the meaning of life, and all that kind of thing -- but shuts it again, opening it only long enough to say, "Oh." Her mouth opens again to retort towards A'dan, but shuts again, for a moment. "Some for me, too, A'dan." There, she said something. "Mm," Joslyn can be heard to mutter between bites of cookie, scowling with noticeable irritation. "Not that Kinoa's particularly known for kindness or tact," she says, as if to herself, then chews some more. "Good cookies tonight." F'loran, on the other hand, says nothing. If there's one thing he's learned from dealing with things like this, it's when to keep his big yap shut. If you've ever wondered just how quiet F'loran can be, here's your chance to see it first hand. Joslyn added a bit of the truth to the rumours board, btw. Splash, as the cups of juice crash to the floor. A'dan stands there, deliberate in the action, as if to prevent the climax of this meeting for precious moments more. He gathers additional mugs, holding one out to Auralia as he sits the other on a nearby table, to remain untouched. Kinoa may not be paying attention, but her ears sure are. She twitches just a little but steadfastly refuses to look back at Joslyn. "Not that any of our goldriders are known for their patience or general maturity," she says as though pointing out that it's raining outside. Auralia winces, "Do be quiet, A'dan!" Hmph. She's listening. And gulping. Where is that juice when one needs it? "Hurry up." Oh, there it is. No thanks, either. Joslyn's going to tell Tel you said that! Joslyn says, "There's a whole wing of us with crossbows, you know. ;)" K'laarn says, "Who said what?" Kinoa giggles. Kinoa doesn't have much patience for you gold-types right now. Kinoa says, "Not that any of our goldriders are known for their patience or general maturity." A'dan's having fun, himself. ;) Kinoa said that, I mean. Munch munch goes Joslyn. And then she sputters and coughs some, pounding on her chest to dislodge a half-inhaled cookie. She cools watering eyes with a quick drink of juice, gathers her wits about her again, and proceeds in this marathon of veiled insults. "I would say those goldriders must have learned their manners from the greenriders... except that we all know greenriders haven't got any of those." The next bit is directed at F'loran, apparently: "There aren't nuts on these, are there?" Kinoa adds, "Or accuracy with any sort of weapon." Oh, the toe digs. So cruel. Joslyn laughs. Except flametrhowers, I guess. Auralia doesn't say anything. Again. Surprise, surprise. Kenla shudders as she watches, head going back and forth as she watches the two, like a tennis match. At a lull in the conversation, she lifts the glass and takes a long, slow sip of milk. Kenla listens too, not just watches. She can do all sorts of verbs. Talented! F'loran, eyes shooting back and forth between Joslyn and Kinoa as the barrage of insults is let loose, stops just long enough to shake his head at Joslyn. "Shouldn't be. I kept the ones with nuts separated out." Awww. Good boy. He eats a cookie, too. A'dan cannot let this continue. "Only some greenriders," he corrects Joslyn, and he's finished. No sense in pausing the verbal thrashing without due cause, as he again props one foot on the chair backwards in front of him. Kinoa smiles pleasantly at the greenriders sitting near her. "Did you hear something?" she asks A'dan and Auralia. "Would you be so kind as to let me have one of those mugs of juice, Auralia. I'm trying to work on my manners. I generally try not lie in wait outside of people's weyrs after a flight and then threaten them for something beyond their control." Now, those were two totally unconnected statements, but what the heck. Auralia's ears waggle so much that she almost misses Kinoa. "Juice? You want..Oh. And cookies? Or did Jos-- Someone already take them all? Anyway." As comprehension dawns, she just nods rigourously, stops, and starts to shake her head. Then she gives up. Much safer. "That's good." Well done, Auralia! Everyone watch as F'loran goes back to being quiet again. Isn't that astounding? He's very skilled at it, you know. Shells, they should offer medals for performances like this one. MasterQuietman F'loran has a nice ring to it. Kinoa giggles. MasterQuietMan. A'dan is a greenrider. Translated as, he who knows not the meaning of quiet. "I believe Joslyn and F'loran may have some cookies, Kinoa. I could get some for you." Again the innocent smile. Or attempt on one. Mmmm, that milk is good, but it's sure not putting Kenla to sleep. Not with all this pulse-pounding action going on nearby! "Oh, good," says Joslyn, a cheery smile for the brownrider - HER brownrider, ha ha - and dusts her fingertips absently. "And thank you for getting me th'cookies, so *I* didn't have to take them all myself." Hint, hint, Auralia. "It is nice t'see those greenriders trying to behave themselves though, isn't it? Even the easy ones. It's a nice change to all the meaningless sex around Kino - ahem, this place." A'dan's getting a kick outta this. F'loran just winces after that last little bit. Does he actually look worried? Yes. Regardless, he still manages a soft little, "You're welcome," to the Goldrider. Auralia heard that, Josy. Point taken. Or something. "Juice," she mutters. She really ought to shut that mouth tightly from now on, huh? "I behave myself." That was muttered, too. So much safer, and all. She returns. "JuiceKinoa." That would be the process of keeping her mouth shut as much as possible. Kinoa treats A'dan to the most cheerful, just slightly dangerous smile. "No thank you. Cookies are for children," she says sweetly. "Do you know what else I like to do?" she asks the room in general, or perhaps just the chromatic riders - not F'loran - sitting near her. "I also like to apologize to people after I make an ass of myself. Of course I only do that when I'm proddy, and usually only when people take advantage of my state of mind." SHe looks right at Joslyn. "Some people don't have any excuse for being idiots, I suppose." K'laarn says, "Noone gonna say hi to me? :)" Kinoa smooch K Joslyn thought you had bled to death, sorry. :) Joslyn says, "Hi." Nerian hides her dagger behind her back. "Sure. Should I come visit?" Telinda says, "Evening!" Kenla hmmm. He sure cuts a fine figure. Or is that Tel? Kinoa hides from Tel@! Caelia hops on! K'laarn hrmphs. Nerian smooches Telinda, too! A'dan may have taken offense to Joslyn's comment. But then again, he's a greenrider. "And some people must go around acting like children to the point that you can't determine the difference between a Wingleader or weyrwoman and a turn-old child." To himself, of course. Or is it? Auralia smooches Tel and K'laarn. A'dan smooches the two, as well. :> Caelia pikus! Caelia notes, that's piku, not pika.. F'loran awwwws. *sniffle* K'laarn says, "Hey. Lets see, can Telinda and I create any more havoc?" K'laarn rubs his hands together. Kinoa says, "I don't think that's possible" Joslyn and Kinoa may come to blows by and by. Kinoa can hit you in here, Jeuneth can't eat me! Kenla hrm. Name a new weyrsecond? Announce a merger with Honshu? Massive layoffs? Caelia clings to her job. Joslyn says, "Ahhh, but you have to leave sometime, Kinoa. ;)" Auralia says, "Campout in the Hall until Jeuneth forgets?" Now isn't this the most amazing cookie ever? That's the sort of look F'loran has on his face at the moment. Maybe the argument will go away if he ignores it. Or maybe not. A'dan says, "Jeuneth may, but Josy won't. So Jeuneth won't. ;)" Kinoa says, "But all the food is here. I'll be fine. I can live here forever." Kenla's milk glass level is dwindling. In fact it's half empty. Or is that half full? Kenla won't say. But she looks reluctant to go for a refill right when it gets /real/ good. Joslyn just found that pose, Kinoa. One sec. A'dan says, "Until you fall asleep and Josy drags you outside?" N'all says, "woo, at least K'laarn's staying put" Kinoa ohdear. N'all. Joslyn just sits, the very portrait of languid with her chin in her hand like that and her elbow holding it up on the table. She yawns, even. "Accourse, it might do well for some folks t'remember that not everyone is heartless and unfeeling and that some of us actually get HURT sometimes and do stupid things and prob'ly would apologize if they hadn't been bad mouthed th'moment they walked in th'room and thus won't be sharing their cookies with certain greenriders." K'laarn considers wandering around but some idiot fellised me. N'all says, "Do I even .want. to know? Scratch that, I know the answer." N'all cackles at K'laarn. Kayjay says, "Hello :)" F'loran says, "Everyone go AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! :)" F'loran says, "Heya, Kayjay!" Caelia walks over from the Western Courtyard. Caelia has arrived. Kenla glances over at those cookies. My, they look good. But she may lose her impartiality if she asks for some. (So she's in a jury now? Before she was at a tennis match and before that she was a witness for the prosecution.) Caelia asks what is going on before she poses? F'loran says, "And Caelia waslks into the midsts of chaos. :)" F'loran says, "An argument between Joslyn and Kinoa. Verbal." Caelia gacks. Kenla says, "It's more fun to come in oblivious, though! ;)" N'all strides over from the Western Courtyard. N'all has arrived. N'all walks in, looking refreshed and well rested. He finds a mug, he fills it. He finds a bench, he sits on it. He spies a Joslyn, he glares at it. Kinoa ohs. "Wait. I forgot Telinda was her teacher. How silly of me." She continues to speak to the air in front of her, though her jaw is clenched fairly hard at this point and soon her teeth may dissolve into dust. "Some of those heartless, unfeeling people," she begins, "goldriders among them, might also do well to remember that they shouldn't prey on the emotions of the entire weyr just for their own childish amusement. Blueriders, for example, with small children, who get hurt by references to casual sex even when IT NEVER HAPPENED." A pause and she buffs her fingernails against her shirt. "Some people might consider that other people have feelings too." Auralia is sitting back down, remember. With her own juice. And not saying a word, to not get anyone mad or anything. Of course, there's no such thing as not being on a side. But she doesn't know that. So she's just sitting there. Kinoa says, "Lord. Sorry these poses are so long. I'm getting carried away." Telinda grins. Fun fun :) Kayjay strides over from the Western Courtyard. Kayjay has arrived. Kenla says, "That'll cost you with the East German judges." F'loran sits with Joslyn at her table, munching quietly on cookies and sipping at his juice while Joslyn and Kinoa have their little discussion. Other than that, the young Wingsecond really isn't doing much. He's not talking, that's for sure. He does wave at Kayjay, N'all, and Caelia as they enter, though. Kinoa says, "Is the whole -weyr- coming to watch?" Caelia pads in from outside, in the process of pulling her long hair up into a runner's tail. Hearing Kinoa speak--and spotting the tension in the room--she stops dead in her tracks, looking for a possible direct route to the juice, instead of passing too close to the... argument? Fight? Full-scale war? E'dar strides over from the Western Courtyard. E'dar has arrived. Kayjay meeps. I didn't rewalize the place was so full :) Kenla says, "Apparently." E'dar says, "Well... I could continue my months-long stretch of not RPing..." Kinoa grins. I don't mind. A lot of pressure to stay amusing, though. A'dan should have sold tickets... Kayjay waits with bated breath. F'loran is selling tickets! A Mark apiece! Get 'em while they last! Kenla is sitting at a table, watching the proceedings. Sipping milk that was /supposed/ to be a nightcap. Telinda gets out the soda and popcorn :) Joslyn is starting to get immuned to glares - even N'all's. She continues, in much the same vein as Kinoa, "Mm. And some people might want to bear in mind that some things are said IN JEST and that we don't all understand that greenriders can go proddy and thus gullible at the drop of a sharding hat. Shells, you weren't proddy when we left and I sure didn't think you'd actually SAY that to N'all. *I* wouldn't." Oops. She forgot about the indirect address... Oh well. Nerian strides over from the Western Courtyard. Nerian has arrived. Kayjay's eyes widen as she walks into a very crowded hall. She winds her way through the crowds, glaring at a bronzerider who tries to pinch her butt, and ends up at the serving table, relatively unscathed. She grabs a mug of tea and looks for any spot to squeeze into. Carrying his usual slight frown, E'dar wanders in from the courtyard, flight jacket slung over one shoulder. He lifts a brow at the verbal confrontation he's approaching, and snorts rather disapprovingly, turning for the food. Little Tabby Cat moves over from the Western Courtyard. Little Tabby Cat has arrived. A'dan says, "Drat. This would've been great to log." E'dar says, "So backlog it. :)" N'all nods to F'loran, and just boggles at Kinoa, and he asks, very softly, but loudly enough to carry, "Then why in the name of the First did you say something that isn't true." He looks at Joslyn, "Don't get me wrong, Joslyn, I'm still going to have words with you, but I must say, I may have been to quick to temper." He just looks at Kinoa, "You, though, should know better to utter something that's not true. I'm still trying to cheer my sister up." A'dan've ran out of room on his buffer. :p Kenla is logging from when she came in, but surely missed a bunch. Kinoa got it, no worries Auralia's got a log, too. N'all is nothing if not fair :) He realizes two people are at fault here :) F'loran blinks after a moment, that little glow in his brain kicking on after a moment. "Yeah, wait.. Joslyn never mentioned anything about casual sex to you. Where'd that come from?" He looks honestly confused. Of course, he looks like that most of the time... Telinda says, "And we're not even counting Telinda :)" F'loran says that to Kinoa, by the way. F'loran says, "Tel gets diplomatic immunity." Kinoa has been spoken to directly, so she turns to look at Joslyn, dropping her hand to her side and letting it swing there idly. "SOME people," she continues, speaking in the third person even though everyone know who she's talking about, "Should learn to grow UP and stop being so SELFISH, and realize that everything that happens in this weyr is NOT my fault NOR the fault of my green rising and if you had a SHRED of responsibility in you you'd think before you spread rumours like that because they only hurt people." N'all nods :) Kayjay plunks down beside Kenla after charming her way down the crowded bench. K'laarn just laughs. Can I wander into the weyrhall? :) Kinoa's face is quite red at this point and if N'all said something to her she missed it. She turns to look at him. "I"m sorry. I didn't hear you. Would you mind repeating that please?" F'loran she ignores. Slaveboy indeed. Mmhmm, yup. Caelia scoots past the tensest part of the area, watching the occupents of the room with curious eyes, waving back at those who waved to her, then settling in her seat with a few rolls and her glass of juice. Oh dear. Kenla glances at Kayjay and just shrugs. Oops, there's a grin at the corners of her mouth. She's enjoying this. Auralia coughcoughs, into her juice. This would be a good time to remove oneselve. Towards Kenla and Kayjay. Yes, good idea. N'all looks at Kinoa, "Proddy or not, you shouldn't say things that you know aren't true." Joslyn bats a hand at the air directly in front of her and replies, "SOME people, I assume implies me, have very bad and quick tempers and have come t'terms with this fact. And SOME people tend to feel sorry for things they say when they've slept on them. Not that SOME people are given the chance to apologize, with all th'sharding accusations flying in this room, by folks who weren't even there to comment." A pointed look goes N'all's way, too. F'loran will NOT be ignored. Not by anyone but Joslyn, anyway. "Where'd it come from?" He stops, then, 'cause N'all basically said what he was gonna say. So, instead, he just nods at N'all's comment, and utters a quick, "Yeah.." Kayjay shakes her head, muttering softly to Kenla. "Now what is happening. What ever happened to our peaceful nights in the weyrhall where the only thing happening was bets on how many chins Bertha had." Kenla's suddenly sober as she picks up the mood of her friend. She shrugs, and admits, "I don't know." A'dan is not about to interrupt this showing by the two riders. He only sits, an obviously-amused grin plastered over his features; juice long-forgotten is not, as he reaches over and takes a small sip of the liquid. Just barely. Kinoa says "I've apologized to Nareisa, and Marila. And at the time, I thought it was true," to N'all. She's using this aside to get herself under control, y'see. But, like a big hairy magnet, her eyes get drawn back to Joslyn. "Some people should learn that an apology doesn't always fix everything," she says finally. "I will not be the laughingstock of this weyr. Not for you or anyone."" N'all looks at Joslyn, "I refuse to be believe you are completely without guilt in this matter, Joslyn, you have too much fun spreading gossip and stirring the muck. I bet that you thought it would be a harmless prank, let's have a little fun at N'all's expense, he's just a big dumb weyrlingmaster. Oh, and while we're at it, let's inflict some pain on his sister that's never done anything to anybody, just because it's fun!" "Hey," Joslyn says, hands put forward in a somewhat placating manner. "I didn't make you into any laughingstock. All I pointed out was that there's a remarkable coincidence in th'fact that Luiseth rose and then Southern fell apart. *I* think it's kinda funny like that. And if you don't want an apology, fine. You won't get one and we can just stop bein' friends." Pause. "N'all. You can yell at me for days, but you weren't there and you dunno what happened." "No, no, no," F'loran starts, voicing this part to N'all. "I was there when the whole exchange first took place. Joslyn wasn't doing this to /hurt/ anyone.. Kinoa had mentioned that she and K'tor were having a..fling, or whatever. Josy just said maybe she should fess up to it, that's all.." N'all nods to F'loran, "I'm sure she meant it as a harmless suggestion, knowing full well how I feel about K'tor in relation to my sister." Kinoa is starting to look tired again. "'Greenriders just like cheap sex,'" she quotes to Joslyn. "I'm not the only greenrider in this room. "And my personal life is no business of yours, or anyone except for the people I choose to share it with." She looks at F'loran. "I didn't choose to share it with him and by the first egg if I had had any idea you were going to lose your marbles over it I would have done everything in my power to have Luiseth rise over the Northern Wastes, alone." She leans back in her chair. "I'm sick of fighting with you. With everybody." Tr'bor laughs! Okay, Weezer. Yeah, you're pleasant. ;) Oh, that's right, Auralia's a greenrider, too. "I resent that," she finally announces, bitterly. "But I'm not getting involved. NoNono." N'all nods to Kinoa's last statement, "Aye." He rubs his eyes, "Aye." Kenla sighs and shoots a reassuring smile Kinoa-wards. At least her mentee doesn't fight with her! Kayjay sighs, leaning against her bench, rubbing a temple. A'dan simply refuses to say a word, seemingly unaware of that particular comment made by the goldrider. He arches a brow in her direction, arms again folded over his chest. Joslyn makes a face and notes, "Oh, poor, poor Kinoa. Bears the weight of the Weyr on her shoulders. No one else could POSSIBLY have stress that might make them a little irrational, oh no." And then she frowns at N'all and notes, "I actually suggested that she simply come clean 'bout the whole thing. I said if she wanted to have an affair, she oughta at least make sure it wasn't secretive. It just... mutated after that." Caelia listens silently, taking a slow sip of her juice before curling one leg beneath herself. Considering she wasn't there to see it when it happened, she's not quite sure what to make of things... Kinoa notes to new people, we're not usually like this. This happens like once every two years. :) F'loran shuts up again now. A'dan says, "But it's oh-so-fun when it happens." Tr'bor says, "You mean 84000 people in the WeyrHall?" Caelia heee's. F'loran nodnods, and grins. "Chaos is a good thing - in moderation." A'dan says, "There is no moderation when you ride green. ;)" N'all smirks, "You could have suggested a more neutral party to confess it to, Joslyn. But somehow, that wouldn't be as fun, would it." He sighs, "I'm not usually prone to self-pity, but Sharditall, it's bad enough having to watch kids die, now I have to watch rumors tear apart the fabric of this very weyr." He takes a draught of his klah, "But what would I understand? I'm just they weyrlingmaster." He looks for some sort of salvation in the bottom of his mug. Auralia says, "See that as a warning for any brown/bronze/bluerider who has a lifemate wanting to Impress green. Watch out." Kayjay nods. No kidding. Oh well lots of rp fodder for the rest of us as we deal with the effects of these looney tunes. ummm errr senior leadership of SOW yeah. thats what I meant to say. uh huh. Telinda isn't a loony tune! :) Kenla whispers to all the chromatics, "Maybe it's time we got this revolution started!" Tr'bor says, "MUCH." Telinda was having an off day N'all peers at N'all, "You're no fun when you get depressed." Kayjay sorries. Just an anaimaniac? Kinoa smiles sympathetically at N'all. "For what it's worth, I am sorry. I do like K'tor, but I wouldn't for the world take him away from spending time with Nareisa or his child. I hope you know that." She must really be worn out, abjectly apologizing to N'all. Then it's back to Josy. "I'm sorry to you too." A long pause. "I'm sorry because you're my friend. But I won't apologize for Luiseth. If she wanted Kesath, and that meant I got F'loran, then I'm happy." Kinoa gets out the kleenex for the teary ending. Kinoa says, "Well, possibly teary. There's still plenty of room for bloodshed." N'all says "Oh, he's not coming close to my nephew." Auralia can't help it: "Awwww." Kayjay shakes her head, looking sorry for Kinoa. "Shards, I am glad I have Suriath." Kenla swallows the rest of her milk with a gulp. It's too distracting otherwise. She looks at Joslyn a moment, awaiting her response. A'dan may consider disqualifying you, Fol, if this will happen if Kesath win's Tae's flight. ;) "And Faranth forbid one of the Weyrwomen should know better," E'dar answers scornfully, rather disgusted by the whole thing, whether he knows what it's about or not. "I would think people would be too busy saving Pern from Thread and mourning the deaths of their wingmates to worry about pettiness like this." He snorts again, thoroughly incensed judging by the red of his face. "It's nice to know people can trust the weyrwomen in this weyr with their secrets when they go to them for advice, too," he points out. Kinoa says, "KJ was right. This is like an opera." F'loran laughs. "Nah. You just gotta remember to dodge when she shoots at you, that's all." :) Kayjay sings softly "Kill the wabbbit, Kill the wabbit, Kill the wabbbit." "Look, N'all. I suggested Kinoa come t'you so maybe you could break it easier to Nareisa." Joslyn is getting frustrated and it shows. Attacked from all sides makes it very hard to keep up a solid defense. "I said you might wanna know 'cause you care about your baby sister and look after her. If that's SO wrong, then I'm sorry. Next time, I'll just pretend I dunno nothing and let Nareisa find out cruelly after th'fact." E'dar gets ignored - he wasn't there, he wasn't important. Kinoa, however, gets a real honest look: "I am sorry, too. I didn't MEAN t'cause all this trouble. It just HAPPENS. You oughta know that by now." A'dan hangs up the 'Kinoa Season' sign instead. Tr'bor bahahahas... Rabbit season, duck season, FIRE! (From Afterlife, not WB). ;) Auralia just hasta do it again, even if it's only for her own benefit: "Awww." Kayjay loves reading the logs, then seeing how the truth gets twisted in later rp :) Telinda giggles Kinoa says "I know. It just always seems to happen with us." She shoots a look at A'dan. Don't you dare mention T'dru now. She reaches up and rubs at her temples with her fingertips again. "It's been a really long couple of days." N'all looks at Joslyn, and just shakes his head, "You can weave whatever spinnerweb about yourself that you like that helps support you, but you still know in the back of your head the truth of the matter, and if it's enough to enable you to sleep at night, then I guess that's a good thing." A'dan says, "Ooh, that's great, Kin. Didn't even think of that. Gimme a sec." Kinoa says, "Don't EVEN think about it." Tr'bor says, "Question... Is it possible for two riders to have a lasting relationship if they live at different Weyrs?" N'all says "I admit to not knowing the full fact, but I also know that for as long as I can remember you've been interested in nothing more than the distribution and gathering of gossip." A'dan grins. "For the sake of sleep, ok." Kenla says, "I've seen it happen ICly, sort of. ;)" Kinoa needs to cut out of here relatively soon, s'why I'm trying to be nice all the sudden. A'dan does, too. "That's why I gave in so easily." ;) Joslyn nods in hearty agreement with Kinoa. "A TERRIBLY long coupla days. Can we be friends again? 'Cause it is way too hard to hate you all th'time." And then she sighs, just shaking her head at N'all and saying, "I guess I wouldn't believe me either if I were you, but I'm not even gonna try and explain anymore. You believe what you want, and I'll believe th'truth." A'dan says, "This would be the time in a sitcom when the audience "awwwwwww"s." Kinoa has to toss in some cheese to make up for all the angst N'all looks at Joslyn, "I believe that you're sorry. I believe that you didn't mean for anything to happen, and I believe that you feel awful for it. But I also believe your behavior, like K'tor's, will continue to get you in trouble." Joslyn and Kinoa have made up like this at least two or three times before. Old hat by now. E'dar has disconnected. N'all adds, "And I also believe that it's hard to change people's impressions once those behaviors have been well learned." Kenla dabs at her eyes. She promised herself she wouldn't cry, too! *Sniff* Auralia doesn't -quite- aww. She just looks pleased. But not teary. No, that wouldn't be Auralia-like. She just beams. Kayjay sighs, pursing her lips as she watches the goings on."And I complained about Jeryn being too nice. I will take nice any day over all this." Kinoa mutters, "Just my luck, of everyone in the weyr to call my closest friends it's Josy and Kat," before smiling at the weyrwoman, a bit of the world-weariness going out of her eyes. "It's hard to hate you too, you're the oldest bugger of a friend I've got." Kinoa nodnods. We do it quite regularly. Telinda sniffs and needs a new best friend again. N'all says, "You got me, babe!" Telinda laughs! N'all says, "Well, RL anyway :)" K'laarn says, "Hey. :P" Kinoa woos. I made up with almost everyone now. Telinda isn't on about RL :) "Like I said," Joslyn repeats to N'all, "you believe whatever you want. I had good intentions that went awry, and that's all." But she's made up with Kinoa, so it's too hard to bother with being upset at N'all right now. "We could kiss'n make up now, but... well... that sounds a little gross. I'll give you a cookie, though!" Old J'fof, at a corner table, continues his steady glare at Kinoa. The bluerider crosses his arms and says nothing. K'laarn says, "You'll just have to make up with me Telinda." N'all looks at Joslyn, blinks a few times, he thought he was actually going easy on her. N'all sits on K'laarn, "You're just as bad!" Kenla says, "There, someone you haven't made up with. (Though no idea what soured J'fof on you)." Kinoa could not possibly have angered J'fof. K'laarn gets squashed! Telinda says, "What's that -- you J'fof on me, and I'll.. yes, hrm :)" Telinda says, "You're a boy, K'laarn, she needs Haven back!" N'all mumbles something about bronzeriders with no selfcontrol ruining the repuation of the rest. Kinoa pushes the klah away from her, nasty stuff anyway, and walks over to Joslyn, reaching out and taking a cookie. "No," she says, "I'd hate to sour our meaningful relationship with something like kissing," she teases. Show's over, folks, and no one died. E'dar coughs! Tr'bor acks! Gotta go soon! Auralia checks herself, and does a quick glance over the other folks around. True, no one's dead. And, better yet, they're all smiling. K'laarn says, "Fine. Have Haven. I'll just find me some cute, pliable greenrider." Kinoa waves her hand! N'all isn't smiling, but then again, he rarely does, anyway. Kinoa totally ruins all the good work she just did. One greenrider in the corner, clearly disappointed at the lack of bloodshed, stalks outside. "Grumblegrumble best friends, my backside Grumblegrumble." F'loran looks...relieved, to say the least. He glances, again, between the two. "Well I'm glad you two worked that out," he says. "It'd be a shame to throw away a friendship so quickly." N'all jumps up on down on K'laarn, "YOU ... STUPID .... BASTARD .... HAVE .... YOU .... LEARNED .... NOTHING!..." The james t. kirk WLM :) And the Cookie of Peace (which happens to have nuts, 'cause Joslyn could never surrender one of the ones she REALLY likes) exchanges hands with a bright smile from the goldrider. "Meaningful? Hrm, all this time I thought it was just mean." Pause to glance at F'loran. "This is all your fault, you know." Telinda says, "N'all, not on the knot or I'll gag you!" Telinda says, "Apologise, please" N'all oops, I said the B word, sowwie. Kayjay offers N'all the cookie of peace. Kinoa cues the gospel choir Nerian says, "With worms in it?" Kayjay sings. "All we are saying..... is give peace a chance..." N'all says, "Peace is over-rated, it's bad for the economy, but I'll take the cookie anyway :)" F'loran rolls his eyes, and nods his little head, amused little grin on his face now. "Yeah, yeah, I know.. Always my fault." He goes to get another cookie to snack on, but Josy just gave his last one to Kinoa, so... K'laarn says, "You know, I think N'all just killed K'laarn. He's dead now." A'dan resists the urge to hold up a flame... And to top all this off, that rapid downing of milk has had an effect on Kenla. >BUUURP!< Kenla covers her mouth demurely, and stands up quickly. "Er, excuse me." Joslyn logged this (shock of shocks!) for the record. Kinoa grins at F'loran. "A shame to throw it away over -you-," she teases, munching on the cookie. "I really am exhausted. I haven't slept much the last few days." She looks over at Kenla and widens her eyes. "I swear, I did not teach her that." Kayjay looks at Kenla, startled and leans back so she can crawl past. Kenla heads out while the going's good. The milk glass remains, reflecting the happiness and relief in the room. Kenla walks toward the Courtyard. Kenla has left. Joslyn patpats F'loran on his little head, looking very much at ease now that she's settled at least one disagreement in a LONG string of them. Many cookies should be shared by Josy in the coming weeks. "Why do I have trouble believing that?" she asks Kinoa, a grin at Kenla's belch. Kenla isn't sure what's come over her today. Kayjay giggles. Kinoa is the very model of a demure greenrider. "Cause I always tell the truth. Well, except for when you plant lies in my proddy brain." She winks, clearly teasing, then looks around the room. "I," she announces. "Am going to bed. Alone. For at least ten hours. I'll explain it to K'tor some other time." She means, of course, rather than writing her reports, but whatever. SHe's tired. Kinoa strides over to the Courtyard. Kinoa has left. In Bertha's lap, Mojavi is now listening. Kinoa got to get to bed. I'm wiped out. :) Thanks all for the RP. It was fun. Telinda hugs E'dar isn't smiling. He looks rather frankly disgusted by the display. Shaking his head, he snorts, muttering, "The southern continent is doomed." And with that, he turns to find a mug of ale. F'loran says, "Thanks to you, too, Kin! :)" Joslyn snuggles and thanks for making up with me, Kinoa. Slee well. Joslyn says, "Sleep well, even." Kayjay snugs a Kinoa Auralia smooches Kinoa. Auralia watches Kinoa leave, frowns, and heads back to her juice. Which is still sitting on the table. "It's warm. Hmph." Kenla says, "Night, mentee! Kenla /was/ going to run up and hug you but didn't get a chance." N'all looks at Joslyn, "You know, I can't be angry with you, as much as I want to." he sighs, "It would be easier if I could just explode, but I can't. I have kids to teach." Telindasnugs Kin ninight Kinoa awws. Save it for me and give it to me tomorrow :) A'dan should head to bed, too, now that the fun's over. ;p F'loran waves at the departing Greenrider. Then, after a moment or two, lets out a soft little hmmm.. "Nah. I'll go drag Kesath home later, I guess.." That's sorta muttered to himself, by the way. Then, to N'all, "Hey, if it helps..you were the best teacher of anything I ever had.. You're very good at what you do." Firm nod. Daenerys walks over from the Western Courtyard. Daenerys has arrived. N'all looks at F'loran, and manages a tired smile, "It means very little to me, but thanks anyway." He actually winks. Alianne peers at the Weyrhall. F'loran laughs, and nods. "Anytime, sir." He'll likely never stop calling N'all sir, by the way. Caelia rests her chin on her hand, curious eyes looking over towards N'all before asking rather softly, "Is it always like this?..." Kinoa says, "You missed the show. Come back tomorrow, 8:00, for a repeat viewing." Joslyn notes, forced to grin at N'all, "If you explode, there'd be a very big mess, and Zadira'd prob'ly be upset at your for making the 'hall so dirty. Besides, you know you like me." Which may be stretching things a bit, but she's on a roll this evening. She tacks on a sweet smile for good measure. Alianne blinks. Kinoa grins. I really am leaving. N'all looks at Caelia, "Oh, no, but in a way, it's good." He looks at Joslyn, smiles slightly, "I tolerate you." A'dan has disconnected. Daenerys hovers just inside the doorway, a travel-worn and dusty pack clutch to her chest as her gaze flickers over the crowd gathered in the hall, searching for someone perhaps. She takes a step forward, but then stops, unsure of what to do next. Caelia giggles softly and rises, shaking her head slightly. "Well, with that sweet song to sing me to sleep, I think I shall excuse myself... It's time for me to get to bed. Good eve, all." N'all stands up, and says to Caelia, "For as horrible as it was, it is good to see Tel's old spirit back. If it didn't destroy her." N'all walks toward the quiet, peaceful calm of the Infirmary. N'all has left. Telinda says, "Dany's interested in residency, btw" Kayjay peers at the young woman and smiles encouragingly. "Hello.. you look a bit lost?" Shaking a figner after the big bronzerider, Joslyn repeats, "He likes me, you know," to whoever might still be listening. A new entrant catches her gaze, however, and she abruptly forgets all the goings-on of this evening and echoes Kayjay with a bright, "Hullo, person I dunno." Caelia strides over to the Courtyard. Caelia has left. F'loran sits with Joslyn at one table, sipping from a nearly empty mug of juice. Crumbs are all that remain of his once-impressive stack of cookies. Fol follows Josy's glance toward Daenerys, though, and he offers a wave as well, and a soft, "Heyla.." Daenerys smiles wryly in return. "I just got here." Well that might be obvious, but Daenerys always was a tad blunt. "The name's Daenerys, I'm a SeaCrafter Apprentice, the ship I was on stopped here. I'm looking for a cousin. Rumor was that he was seen here." Well, that was a good way to break the ice. Kayjay smiles. "Well met, Daeneyrs, I am Kayjay, rider to brown Suriath, and who are you looking for? I might know them? Can I interest you in a something to drink?" Kayjay puts on her hostess cap :) "Rumor?" Joslyn repeats, and glances at Bertha - those two have some talking to do. "What rumor?" Uhm, better question: "Who IS your cousin, Daene - Apprentice?" Name's just too long for lazy Josy, no offense.
