You walk toward the bustling Weyrhall.
How about we just ignore what Uinn said for a minute, huh? T'las doesn't wanna think about
that right now. Oh, well, isn't this just his peachy day. No, that wasn't a nervous glance
sent to the weyrsecond. Honest.
"Afternoon, afternoon, it's a beautiful afternoon, isn't it?" See Aura. See Auralia smiling oh-so cheerfully. Wouldn't you, if you were she? Oh, and there's T'las. Yes, she does smile towards him. No discresion. No sense. Nope.
Niare's eyes dart from Uinn to T'las, to Auralia and she just shakes her head slightly.
Uinn's eyebrows climb up her forehead a tad and she laughs. "I think that answers _that_ question" she remarks to the air in general.
T'las isn't flushing at all, nope. He's not avoiding Aura's gaze either. He just likes looking at the table.
Auralia meanders her way through the hall, whistling a soft tune as she comes in to sit, resting her arms on the table. "Your bronzerider okay, Uinn?" Waggle of those eyebrows. And yes, a little bit of a hurt look. T'las is ignooooriing her.
Uinn laughs lightly and nods "Yes -- just fine I think. Thanks Aura." She takes another sip of klah, peering over at T'las' discomfort."
Niare tips her head in Uinn's direction, "Which one is yours, Uinn?"
T'las looks over at Uinn and notices her gaze, then looks up and manages to give Aura a
small timid little smile before taking another sip of tea.
Uinn shakes her head "Not saying for now Niare." She gives a mysterious smile
and tips back her mug again.
Auralia beams at Uinn, head nodding, "Wonderful!" Isn't life grand? Oh, and
there it goes, beam transfered to T'las. "Slept well, I hope?"
T'las shrugs, in all honesty not remembering much of anything about last night.
"You'd probably remember better than me Aura," he says quietly.
Auralia pouts into her juice. Did we mention she stopped to pour juice before sitting
down? Oh, well she did. Never mind, though; it's not big deal. "Mmmm."
"Mmm?" See? T'las remembers that much at least...kind of...
So it's something. Languidly, Aura sighs, sipping at her juice, nose slightly wrinkled.
What to say, and how to say it?
Uinn finishes her first mug of klah and gets up for another one. She's not saying much but
her eyes dance with amusement.
Amusement? How, mean...T'las looks up from his juice again at Aura, giving another small
smile. "Umm...you want to talk?" he asks nervously.
Watch Aura, watch her smile broadly again. "I don't know; do you? I'm perfectly easy
with what happened." A glance at Uinn; Aura's enjoying this.
Uinn flops back into her chair and puts her feet up, tilting the mug back. She winks back
at Auralia -- if she's enjoying it, that's fine with her.
Well isn't that just peachy. Seems everyone is fine with this then, except T'las, judging
by his expression. "Ok..." he mumbles.
Auralia sets down her mug, somewhat serious for a moment (serious? Aura? Yeek). "If
you want to talk, T'las, talk. I'll listen. I might even respond. It was only sex."
Uinn spits klah all over the table as she starts laughing at Aura's tone. Oh dear -- poor
T'las is getting a firsthand lesson in that "strange weyrs" lesson she was
trying to explain.
T'las flushes slightly and ducks his head. "I know, I just wasn't sure you felt that
way," he explains.
Auralia looks relieved, somewhat, if one can, when they look perfectly comfortable. Eyes go back to Uinn; frowning. "It's not that funny." Back to T'las: "Ah. Well yes, I do. You've got your headwoman-type, and I've got--well, we won't say what I've got. Now, we'll just have to make sure I don't get pregnant."
Uinn gets up and gets a towel, cleaning up the mess. "Sorry Aura --" her eyes twinkle "But given the conversations I've had with T'las this last seven-day or so, it's hilarious."
T'las sniffs at Uinn. "Not -that- funny."
"What conversation?" See, Aura's all interested now, lounging in her chair, and sipping demurely at her juice. "I'm interested to hear this."
Leonette strides over from the Western Courtyard.
Uinn grins, and shakes her head "If T'las wants to tell you, I'm sure he will, but I
think I've said enough in this hall for one day." She tosses the towel to a drudge
and settles back down into her chair.
T'las hmpfs at Uinn now, looking a tad bit uncomfortable. "We talking about what it was like to wake up in a strange weyr, or next to a stranger..."
One hand raises to waggle lazily towards Leonette, as Aura pouts, commenting, "Dunno whether T'las'll tell me -anything-." She laughs, turning her attention back to the bluerider. So she was wrong. "Ah. Well, at least I'm no stranger. And it was -your- weyr. So there we go."
Uinn nods ever so slightly over her klah. Yup that was the gist of it. Good lad not being afraid.
T'las gives Aura another meek smile. "Well, might as well have been, seeing how drunk I was I wouldn't have known the difference." An absent minded wave is sent over to Leo.
Leonette smiles as she walks in, and says, "Hello!" She would wave, but her arms are occupied with carrying Rosie...so she just nods, then walks over to try and figure out how to carry Rosie and pour juice at the same time.
Auralia laughs, head bobbing up and down. "Well, this is true. Head wasn't too bad, I hope?" She's gone to being concerned, and sweet. How lovely.
Uinn bounces up to her feet as the child-laden Leo comes in. "Here ... let me help you with that" she offers. Apparently her bad head has returned to wherever it came from. Probably *between*.
T'las grimaces. "It feels like one of those cottages we tore down a few days ago..." he mutters, taking another sip of this tea that's supposed to help with hangovers.
Auralia makes a face, picking up her juice again, and sipping it quietly. Eyes to Leo, head shake, and then back to T'las. "Eek, no good. I'm sorry."
Leonette chuckles and shrugs, "Okay...thanks!" she says brightly. "You want to hold Rosie for a minute?" she asks hopefully. Holding Rosie all day is not exactly the easiest thing to do...
Uinn blinks -- that wasn't what she had in mind but she nods "Um -- sure. No problem. She holds out her arms for the little"
T'las looks over at Leo finally, then makes a show of looking around the room. "What, no Linnie today Leo?"
Auralia settles into her chair, attention turning to Leo and the child once more. Ew. Children. Ugh.
Leonette snickers as she gently hands Rosie over to Uinn. "Nope!" she says to
T'las' question. "I think I lost her..." she looks around, then shrugs. "I
guess she got tired of me..." She manages to look disappointed for a couple of
seconds, then laughs again.
Uinn smiles and settles Rosie on her hip in a familiar motion. She's done this before
after all, it's just been a few turns sinc Eunn was small enough to carry. "'lo there
little one" she says to Rosie and wriggles her fingers at the baby.
T'las looks at the baby, the obvious expression on his face is that he can't comprehend
having one. Oh well, back to nursing that hangover for T'las by sipping some tea.
"How're you doing Leo? I guess good since Linnie isn't pestering you anymore..."
Auralia sits back a little. Oh yes, it would be -evil- to give Auralia a baby. Abortion,
reading and willing. "Indeed, how are you, Leonette? See the flight last night?"
Leonette chuckles and shrugs, "I'm great!" Isn't she always? "How're you
anyhow?" she asks, curiously...not that she can't see he has a hangover... She shrugs
at Auralia, then shakes her head, "No, I didn't..."
Uinn jostles the baby on her hop gently, making silly baby noises at her.
"No? It was rather spectacular, in my opinion. No matter." Auralia crosses her hands, leaning against the table. Eyes go back to the baby. "Why do people make such noises, anyway?"
Uinn shrugs "I don't know -- but as soon as I see a little, the urge is almost
overwhelming."
Leonette shrugs, "I'm sure it was. I was a little busy..." she says with a
smile, then shrugs again. "I don't know..."
T'las grins at Aura's observation and finally answers Leo. "Bad headache," he
explains, hence the tea.
Auralia ahs, then nods her head wisely. "Sort of a motherish thing?" Which would explain Aura's distaste. Leo gets a nod, then it's back to her juice.
Uinn grins "I suppose so" she says over Rosie's head. The little girl reaches
up and honks Uinn's nose, but the greenrider only laughs, apparently charmed out of her
boots.
Auralia shakes her head, and looks mildly repulsed. "I'm going to go--- er, bathe.
Yes, I think I will. Good afternoon, all." She skirts past the child. Best to keep as
far off as possible. "And I'll take an extended trip *between* for good
measure." That to T'las, with a grin.
Leonette smiles and nods sympathetically at T'las, then nods at Auralia. She pours herself a glass of juice, then laughs a little as she watches Uinn and Rosie. She waves to Auralia, "See you later..."
T'las gives a little smile, one less thing to worry about, for him, at least. "See you Aura."
Uinn waves to Auralia "Have a good one," she says, still ooochy kooing at Rosie.
You walk over to the Courtyard.
