+*> Iesath emerges from Between with a blast of cold air!

Dragon> Honshu Weyr sense that Iesath tests the air--bright bursts of colour signalling her arrival; << I'm here! Hello! >>

Dragon> Honshu Weyr sense that Hamunth bugles out a welcome. << You came back! Most of everyone else is sleeping though. >>

Dragon> Honshu Weyr sense that Iesath agrees, voice melifluous, << I came back! >> Did she?--she can hardly remember. Warmly, she adds, << At least *you* are here; mine wishes to visit, visit yours. Is he--? >>

Dragon> Hamunth bespoke Iesath with << You can always visit! The ledge is quiet tonight, Deieth and her lifemate are spending the night in Cove. You can see my nice ledge! It is high up, above the beach! >>

Iesath> Hamunth senses that Iesath is warm, almost affectionate. << We will come then. The beach, you say? How will we know which? >>

Dragon> Iesath senses that Hamunth projects an image of his ledge, from out above the river. << It is this one! >>

Iesath> Hamunth senses that Iesath gathers the image, returning it, bathed in moonlight-- << I see. We come. >>

You soar to a weyr hanging from the cliffside.

+*> Hamunth warbles out a merry greeting, sprawled out on the side of his wide ledge.

+*> Iesath emits a delighted rumble of her own, springing to a landing with an effervescent vigor, whilst Aura unstraps, heaving herself down her lifemate as the green lowers, wings folding as she moves to a rest. "Hamunth, hello. Excuse me, whilst I visit your rider."

Your hand once again traces Iesath's smooth neckridges, as you slip down her side, guiding yourself with her straps and forelimb. Below, you touch her again, her soft whuff filled with adoration towards you.

You walk farther into the weyr.

Auralia darts her head in, peeking about--"S'tev? May I come in?"

S'tev sits at the table, sipping a mug of klah and staring at a bunch of hides. He looks up as Auralia peeks in. "Aura! Of course, c'mon in! Have a seat! Want some klah? What brings you all the way to Honshu?"

Auralia moves in further, her steps echoing as she strides towards the table, shivering slightly. "Bah, I'd never get used to living in a stone place like this. Klah? No, no, thanks. I wouldn't want to deprive you." Without need for further invitation, she slips into a seat, resting her hands on the table in front of her. "A visit. Hoping to see people--and you. Now that I can travel again."

Iesath> Hamunth croons another welcome to Iesath, still lounged out on his couch. He lowers his head towards the slightly smaller one beside him, inviting his guest over. << Dreieth is not here tonight, so her couch is empty, but you could try it out? >>

S'tev grins, "The middle three months, right? Like Catt? She's out at Cove, left me here alone to work over sweep assignments for the next two sevendays. Those can wait for the morning. So how're you doing?"

Auralia nods again, one hand trailing towards her middle, resting there. "That's right. How far is she along? That makes--three, on the way? I heard about Leonette." A pause follows, as she makes as if to consider for a while. Honestly, "Fine. Perfectly fine. I can't see why people complain so much about pregnancy. And even beyond pregnancy, I'm fine. And you?"

S'tev grins, "Oh, I'm doing well, if kept busy by B'gron. Keeps slathering more on me and spending more time with Aeli. Blesh. As if I don't have enough problems with all the kids. Four, actually, Catt's got twins! She's about a month ahead of you, so about five into. She'll be Weyrbound again soon." He sighs and leans back in his chair, groaning slightly and rubbing at his sore shoulders. "I've managed to keep Ham off the greens too, four's quite enough for the time being. Plus Kit, of course."

Auralia chuckles wryly, giving a soft nod in response as she listens--straightening suddenly. "Twins? Oh, the poor woman! Thankfully, there don't seem to be any signs of twins at this end." A glance at her middle; there better not be. "Four--so that'll take you to five! Are you hoping for boys, or girls?" Imagine, Aura, talking children. Impressive. "Good work. It wouldn't do to have more pregnancies, I don't think. I can't imagine that Catrina'd be all that excited about that."

S'tev rolls his eyes. "I thought she was near going to throw me off the ledge when we found out about Leonette. I'm just a bit too... lucky? Four out of five greens Ham's caught have resulted in pregnancies. Eighty percent fertility rate, if I let him chase anymore I'd double Pern's population before I knew it!" He chuckles and shakes his head. "No, I don't know about boys or girls. I mean, with 5, I'm sure to get at least one of each? Do you have a preference for yours?"

Auralia chuckles wryly, admitting, "I don't blame her. A drain on your time, especially with her twins coming, too. At least they'll all have siblings of a similar age. Do you plan on fostering hers?" Still chuckling, she leans back, outstretching her long legs. "I should think so. Stranger things have happened, though. Me? No, not really. I haven't really thought about it. Nor names."

S'tev sighs and scratches the back of his head. "As for fosters, I don't know. Kit'll be with a nice foster mom Kiara and I found here at Honshu, so we'll both get to see him often. Catt'n'I were hoping to hold onto ours a bit longer, since there's two of us to look after them, but with two of them to look after... I just don't know. We might send them to her family at Cove. Or some of mine!"

Auralia nods, arms crossing once more, her lips pressing at the edges into a wan smile. "Kids are a lot of work. Believe me." Without adding further comment to that statement, she leans forward, again nodding. "You did find an awful lot of 'em, didn't you? Big family our child'll be born into."

S'tev chuckles, "Yeah! Looks like I'm just as bad as my father too. Siblings all over the place. I'm definately going to do my best to keep tabs on all of them though, visiting and helping to care for them. It wasn't any fun growing up without any parents." He frowns softly, then takes a large gulp of klah, changing the topic away from his past. To his future. "Havn't thought about names either? Humm, I wonder what we could come up with."

"If more of us remembered to take the nasty green stuff," offers Aura, making reference to the pregnancy deterent commonly used, "perhaps there'd be less chance of it. I'm forgetful." Apparently. She nods rapidly; "I'd like that. For you to visit, I mean. It's important, in my experience." Again, she shakes her head. "Names, no. Er--Tevalia? S--hey, what was your name, before you Impressed?"

"Stantev," he supplies, "My father was Tarvan, Tvan, and mother was Tansia. Atanaur?"

Auralia nods. "Hum. Antauv. Stali. This is hard!"

S'tev wrinkles his nose. "Kiatev took a long time to name too. Saura? Ralstan?"

Auralia furrows her brow, considering. "He would, too. I suppose we should stick away from anything too similar to Kiatev, since that'd be confusing. Auratev doesn't sound so good, anyway. Evauri's not bad."

S'tev drains his klah mug and stares into the bottom of the empty mug. "Errr... Litev? Litan? Tanli? Tevli?"

Auralia raises one eyebrow, her blond head shaking with exasperation. "I admit, our names don't sound so compatable. This is going to take much thought." She pauses, then a giggle emerges. "Faranth, I never thought I'd hear myself obsessing over *baby* names. Or *babies* at all."

S'tev chuckles, "Never thought yourself the motherly type? I hope you're not too upset about this...?"

Auralia shakes her head, agreeing. "Never. Ever. Quite frankly," she raises her eyes, watching S'tev carefully, "I don't--didn't--much like children at all. I'm still not so sure about it. It'll be fostered, this one. Fairly quickly." She pauses, then shakes her head again. "Not entirely upset. I could've aborted, again, if I was that upset." Iesath wouldn't let her.

S'tev frowns a bit and shifts his chair over towards Auralia. "Well, it's not so bad. Maybe it'll seem a bit more special after he's born?" He forces a smile, which apparently comes easily, and gathers some reassurance. "I bet you'll make a fine mom, you'll just have to /want/ to do that. Put in a bit extra and things will all work out?"

Auralia allows a smile to rest upon her lips, agreeing, "It's not. I feel fine, so that's always a benefit. It could be worse." Her nod is slow, although thoughtful. "Maybe it will. I'll still love it, and all. I'll--well, we'll see."

S'tev giggles softly, still a habit he hasn't let go of. "I'll be sure to visit often enough, making sure you /are/ loving him and caring for him and all that. And I'll /keep on/ visiting even after he's fostered, whever you put him I'll be able to go too." He nods once, rather sure of himself on that. "Who do you think you'd want as foster parents? Someone at Southern Weyr? Your family?"

Auralia's smile broadens, her hair shifting upon her shoulders as her head is moved slightly to the right. "Keeping a watch on me, huh? It'll be good. And I'm glad." She pauses, waggling her eyebrows--"Unless I don't tell you." Another pause. "Kidding. Entirely. I would never do that." She takes a deep breath, and admits, "I'm not sure. I considered my oldest sister--she's a healer, so she'd be...well, you know. But I'm hesitating, since she's at Ista, and we're not all that close. Not my parents; I don't really speak to them. So probably someone at Southern."

S'tev ponders. "Now who do I know at Southern...?" He looks up to the cavern ceiling, as if the answer might be up there. "Taranian's my half-sister there. Not sure if I've got any other family there though. There was Leah, but I brought her back to Honshu with me. I'm sure you've got lots of other potential foster mothers there though, like we have at Honshu?"

"I know Taranian," agrees Aura, bobbing her head. "Oh, certainly. I just have to find 'em. I'll have to ask about, see who is interested. Who is worthy of this offspring of mine."

S'tev winks. "Ours. Making a baby isn't a one-woman job y'know. Or two women... Hmmm..." He quickly shakes his head, leaning back to set down the klah mug on the little table near the doorway to bring it back down to the hall. "Alright, well, maybe I'll drop by sometime and help you look?"

Auralia phhhts charmingly, sticking out her tongue. "Ours, then. For that matter, we might as well include Iesa and Hamunth, y'know. And even sharding L'mir and G'arik, for having me over here in the first place. For that matter--I'll stop there." She nods, approvingly. "I'd like that."

S'tev shakes his head. "I'd only go as far as the four of us, myself, and I know Hammy takes credit for all my kids. I mean, it /is/ because of him, afterall..." A cheerful rumble can be heard from just out on the ledge. "See? Well, anyways, how're you managing at Weyrsecond back ato Southern? Has the pregnancy really affected your work?"

Has the pregnancy really affected your work?" (rep)

Auralia winks, nodding. "Eh, I wouldn't want to give L'mir credid for anything, anyway." Iesath returns the rumble with a contented warble, to which Aura twists her lips, amused. "Oh, fine, fine. We've a replacement wingsecond, of course, since I'm stuck with the Queen's wing as much as possible. I'm able to keep up with the ground-based stuff, though. And we're doing more drills on the ground, which I'm able to work with."

S'tev grins, "That's good, that you've still got plenty to keep you busy. Visiting the healers regularly, I hope?"

Auralia nods ruefully, commenting, "Too much, sometimes, it seems. That's normal, though. And you'd understand that--Wingsecond, aren't you?" She parts her lips, adding, "Yes, yes. Unfortunately. I'm not a big fan."

S'tev chuckles, motioning to all the hides on his table. "Yep, Wingsecond, and I know all about the hidework. It's good you're seeing the healers though, I'd hate for some complication to arrise because you didn't get looked after properly. Wouldn't be fair to the baby, at any rate."

Auralia gives the hides a wrinkle of her nose, noting, "I never thought that I'd ever live with hidework--and then I was pounched, first by Kinoa, then Kat, and K'laarn. One learns. Maybe motherhood is the same." More seriously, she nods her head again, agreeing, "I'd hate that, too."

S'tev looks at the hides. "No, I never thought I'd be much for hidework either. Thought I'd be spending my days in the kitchens, but that didn't really work out. Not that I'd complain about what took me away from them." A little smile plays at his lips. "So how's Iesath doing?"

"As if anyone would," agrees Aura, chuckling wryly, her eyes half lidded. "Iesath's--well enough. Exuberant, for the moment, which is nice. She's been moody, of late; she's embracing my pregnancy, but not flying 'fall properly is not making her at all happy."

S'tev laughs lightly, "At least she's not missing fall because she's injured! Drei's the same way about complaning though. I don't suppose Ham'll ever have to though. I don't plan to ground myself for pregnancy anytime soon! Hmm... maybe we could somehow name the kid after the dragons too. Iesham? Hamiesa? Hamrilia? Iestan?"

Auralia chuckles loudly, winking towards S'tev. "This is true--she'd hate that worse. We've been lucky. Almost ten turns together, and not an injury on her part yet. No, you and Ham'll likely not have the problem, it's true. Unless you get sympathy problems." Chortling, she pauses, testing, "Iesahm? Hum."

S'tev shrugs, "Hamaura? No, I think I'm half-asleep already and names just won't be generated in his dimglow mind." He stiffles a yawn. Shells, been up since early morning run. I'll definately keep thinking up names. But if you think we're off bad, what about Leonette and I! Leotev? Stanette? Shards, why can't babies be born knowing their own names like dragons!"

Auralia giggles, noting, "If you want to get to bed, do say it, and I'll go. Don't want to keep you up or anything." She laughs again, admitting, "Tough one, that. Leove? That's not too bad. Laneve."

S'tev shakes his head, "No, I refuse to even /think/ about that one until tomorrow. Which it already is down here. A candlemark ahead of Southern, afterall. Oh no, you shouldn't have to leave..." He doesn't quite finish that beacuse another yawn overtakes him, and he can't quite fight it down. "Yet. I mean, you come all the way to Honshu! Are you staying the night? Or just visiting?"

Auralia grins, wryly. "I don't blame you. Me, I'm a nightowl. But yes, it's awfully late here." She points out, chuckling, "Well, it only takes a few moments. It's not as if Iesath can't just wink home. We'll head back tonight."

S'tev nods, and stands up. "Y'know, maybe that isn't such a bad idea. Going to bed while I'm still awake enough to make my way over there. Ham's already fast asleep." He groans and stretches his tight shoulders. "Thanks for dropping in for a visit though, I'll have to come see your place at Southern soons!"

Auralia stands, in mimicry, smiling brightly. "Thank you, for being awake enough for me to come. I'll have to come back some time. Sleep well!"

You walk out onto the ledge.
